drinking on meets

I met someone at the weekend, we had been chatting for a good while, but must have been nervous as she was knocking back the wine in the hotel bar. I like a few drinks too but don't like to be d*unk on a meet up.

Anyway I declined to take it further, which didn't go over too well.

I don't drink at all and avoid anyone that drinks for any other reason than they enjoy the taste of it occasionally.

If anyone admits to needing a drink, they have a problem.

Yes ive had this happen. She was good for nothing by the time we got to the bedroom.

I personally dont like to drink much before a meet, it just spoils it.

And I'm sure her confidence levels have been vastly improved by your post if she sees this. Not the classiest way to get your point across OP.

Completely agree with you. At a club with friends I have a few drinks, but on a meet I would only have one or two. You need to be able to make safe sensible decisions.

You could be accused of all sorts if she was d*unk and woke up the next morning with you beside her !

I wouldn't drink on a meet and never drink if I go to a club either. I like a clear head so that I know exactly what I am doing.

Should have mentioned, she's not on fab. Met her from another "dating" site.

I think it's a very good way of raising a safety issue for people. The issue of drinking too much on a meet is something that crops up. If she reads this and sees people opinions it might help her rethink what she is doing. If it helps her from a safety and health point of view, or makes others consider the implications I congratulate the OP.

I'm always a bit nervous when meeting, but being d*unk would make it worse for me!

I've never minded people needing a drink or two to unwind a little bit. But the guy I met who poured himself a tumbler full of neat vodka from an already well drained bottle had me leaving quickly....

If we have a social meeting or go to a club, I will have a couple of drinks. But never enough to impair my common-sense. And I have my husband there to make sure all is well.

But, if I ever met alone or went to a club alone, I would'nt drink at all. Better to keep on the ball if you've not got your wingman.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I enjoy a few drinks, and find a couple of glasses of wine help me relax and let loose my filthy side.

Never vomited on a meet. Yet!

We always advise newbies top keep a away from the sauce. It can be bad enough for an experienced swinger to make bad decisions but it is vital new couples stay alert - much as we love you all there are an arsehole of two lurking amongst you and scaring away new swingers is most definitely counterproductive and antisocial.

Indeed. I was on the receiving end of this at my first club visit. Alcohol + aggressive nature + paranoia(plus I imagine misplaced jealousy)has led me to swearing off the places now.

Don't need to potentially put myself in those types of situations.

Did you not take it further because she was drinking a lot, or for other reasons? Either way it was a good decision if you she was impaired.

Personally I'll only have one or two drinks on a meet, as my winky works better when sober! Also, after one drink we're usually ready to rush to the hotel room and proceed with the real party!!

I declined because she was d*unk and wasn't in a good frame of mind to make any choices to do with who to share her body with. She was pissed off with me, but I'd like to think in hindsight she reapects my decision. I haven't heard from her since.

I like to drive (as a get away clause) so drinking is a no no anyway. A bladdered bloke would put me right off.

I think if someone needs to drink to excess prior to a meet then they are probably there for the wrong reasons. I wouldn't have a problem if someone had a drink or two but if they need more to play that they wouldn't be for me.

Several years ago I had a couple cancel a meet, because am 'only a social drinker' where as they liked to spend the evening drinking before playing.

I'm quite happy with a cup of tea or coffee. But each to their own.

I don't even drink coffee on a meet normally or I want to piss and I don't like using other people's toilets in case they are listening. XXX

Yes done this myself. You can see this quite frequently in clubs where the lady of a couple has to drink a lot before she would start playing and even pressured into it by her other half. I won't play with anyone I consider to be d*unk they might wake up the next day regretting it and it could cause problems by not being fully consensual.

The time for a glass or several is when you are chatting and having a laugh afterwards with your clothes on. Before play it can be a disaster waiting to happen.

In all my years only once have I drank to the point of not knowing what I was doing.... and that was after having my drink spiked. Other month I was totaly ficking legless, even fell down stairs at club (now learnt alchol and hot tub, really dont mix) but I remember everything.

Allways saw "I was d*unk and dont remember" as a balls excuse for "ohh fuck I was an idiot, lets pretend I dont remember and hope it goes away"

I've done both.

Generally I prefer to be sober for sex as I prefer to be clear and to savour the meet, and it can also hamper performance from time to time.

I've been on some where we had a glass or two of wine whilst chatting, which was ok.

One meet, she came to mine, we ended up having rather a few and listening to music for hours before playing. It was actually loads of fun, and we ended up having messy, hangover sex together most of the next day, but the chemistry was right.

I don't like the idea of meeting someone who's already out of it, or needs to drink play. Doesn't sound very enjoyable and the potential for things to go wrong seems high.
