To be honest Joe (and this is just constructive criticism), your profile doesn't exactly scream out as being engaging or interesting and on a site where you are competing with thousands similar to yourself the key is to stand out. I'd also consider changing your profile pic for something that doesn't look like you decided to take it and upload it on the spur of the moment, again just some constructive criticism.

You'll find most people will check profiles, some before reading messages, and if the profile doesn't do it, won't bother with the message - especially if the header of the message shows it's of the "Hi, how you doing? Fancy a fuck?" variety.
