Completely agree OP that it's a shame these prejudices exist. However, I do also find it a shame that a large number of males who are anything other than white skinned feel the need to advertise their skin colour, as though it's the most important thing about them. Very often I see profiles on here advertising BBC and the like..... to me that's just as much a shame, as it kind of reinforces that skin colour is important (it isn't)

Or maybe just maybe they don't fancy darker males ? After all there are quite a few black females who do not fancy white males as well.

Just a thought

Your right though I get loads of mail offing BBC and asking if Id like to taste chocolate

Surely that's them using their skin colour to advance a meet but if people say no to a meet due to colour that's wrong

Would you suck my cock then? Is that a prejudice or a preference? Or is it a choice based on what you like and don't like? A similar approach might be said to be held by those who don't want sex with dark skinned people. Good for thought, anyway.

I get asked if I'm english because of my skin colour and i think if it bothers people that much fuck em as i ain't got the time and patience for ignorant people.

My great granddad was black and i have Mediterranean blood from my mums side which makes me a bitzer and I'm proud of it.

OP I think it less to do with prejudice, and more to do with "preference" ( which we all have).

I guess we all have our favourite colour when we go out shopping for something.

You do see a lot of white women saying BBC only, or black men only. Which rules out us white men because of there preferences.

So a lot of it isn't prejudice or racism.

Its just what they prefer.

But that said, there still is too much racism in the world, hope it changes for the better.

I agree skin colour should not be the most important thing and saying you have a BBC is rather lame also, I do not advertise it I just chose my profile pic as I did not wish to have a face pic as i'm not exactly an Adonis in the looks dept it is what is inside and how you portray yourself that matters.

Seems to me you are looking at the wrong profiles if that is the case..

I don't say what my preferences are on my profile and I notice a lot of other women don't either so I'm somewhat baffled as to how you deduce it from just reading them?

And it is preference..... not prejudice FYI

If you read the thread you will see its not the preference issue because that's everybody's right but some comments & messages from some people on Fab are racist which is totally different to having a preference.

As for trying to get a fuck out of this for voicing an opinion i don't think so lol.

You're not considering him as an individual, though. You've openly declared you would not consider anyone of his skin colour, because that would outweigh all other factors.

To respond to the stupid canard earlier: a person could not be expected to entertain partners with a conflicting sexual orientation, because that person's own sexual orientation is an intrinsic element of their identity.

If you consider Whiteness a defining element of your identity that exists in opposition to people of colour, consider what that means.

(It means you have some ingrained racist attitudes to reflect on.)

I am considering him as an individual and just by posting that I wouldn't even consider him . I have black friends none of which I fancy , I also have many fat friends which I don't fancy . In all honesty I thought it was a piss take post thats why I joined in with it . I also like people that have a laugh and giggle and try my best not to meat people who are crusaders for anything they can find ( sometimes I wonder whether they only do it to look good ) and are that far up their own arse , where they can find an agenda in anything .

I agree with this. I don't find people who use their race or creed, whatever that may be, to try to get sex. you regularly come across profiles which depict themselves as a BBC or similar, surely they are objectiving themselves.

However people will always have their preferences. For example, I'm (fem) am not usually attracted to Asian men, does this make me racist, no it doesn't. I wouldn't say no if the right person came along and I found attractive and who has what we were looking for but I wouldn't seek them out if that makes sense.

I have had this conversation with many people many times. Is it racist to not be sexually attracted to a certain race? I guess it depends on who you ask. It can be a very touchy subject.

You could say the same thing about chubby people. If a guy is not attracted to chubby women, does that mean that he hates fat people? If a woman only wants sex from tall men, does she hate short men?

Many white women in this country are only attracted to black men. Do they hate white men?

There is definitely racism in the world. There are many in my country who believe that every mistake President O'Bama makes is because he's black. Technically, he's only half black, so do those people think that any right decisions he makes are from his white half?

It's amazing how far we have come, yet we are still stuck hundreds of years in the past. That's just sad.

Being attracted to.. or not being attracted to is not always prejudice but sometimes preference and not always about being racist... and this will keep going till the end of time. I was taken back at first as finding fab profiles contained race preference compared to all other social sites so can appreciate where you are coming from.

But on a sex site looks e.g skin colour, hair colour, height, size. Do come into it.

There's nothing prejudice about it.

"I am really disappointed at the amount of women that have an issue with the colour of a mans skin, it is so ridiculous in this day and age however I guess prejudices still exist shame really.

I'm Asian " Fancy a fuck ? "

Prejudiceferences

So because im not attracted to someone im prejudiced because of the colour of their skin aye ok no bother, i will choose who i meet

Preference is fine and i agree with that but when i get idiots ask if i am English or foreign as though it makes me more of a person if i'm white i take offence.

Some ladies prefer darker skined males. Some don't. Their preference. But to be disrespectful or rude to anyone because of their skin colour is wrong. Op Lots of ladies will love you. So kick the negatives and stick to the positives. Because I'm sure the positives are greater.

Seems to me you are looking at the wrong profiles if that is the case..

I don't say what my preferences are on my profile and I notice a lot of other women don't either so I'm somewhat baffled as to how you deduce it from just reading them?

And it is preference..... not prejudice FYI "

I only like to now meet black men but this doesn't mean I'm prejudice against any other. That is simply my preference but I receive a lot of hate mail from white men who take offence to this. When I read profiles that state 'only slim women' I don't take offence and send them abuse, I just forget about it and move on. There's a difference between being prejudice and having a sexual preference, but sadly there are a few imbeciles who fail to realise this

Brighton - even Hove!

Happily, my fb is dark skinned and I think she's gorgeous skin colour is not one of my selection criteria, however, I support those who decide who they choose not to have sex with, irrespective of any reasons they may give. If they don't want sex with someone, they don't have to, no matter what their reason.

I get really fed up with the race issue been attached to threads like this. It's clear to see that black, white, oriental even Greek people have certain aesthetic differences, wether it be fuller lips, crooked noses, different eye shapes etc, there is usually characteristics attached to a certain race and some people don't find these characteristics attractive, that's their choice,

I personally don't like overly thin women, but it won't be long before I'm tagged 'weightest' we almost seem forced to love all mankind equally, this will never work physically...we simply weren't made that way, it's called taste, and the laws of attraction. So saying no black men or black men only has diddly squat with racism and leans more towards individual taste.

I had an interesting experience several years ago: There was a really attractive blonde white girl that worked at a Record store I used to go to a lot. Long story short, I came to the conclusion that she was not interested in me because I'm half black. It made me feel pretty crappy.

Then, I went in one day and saw her flirting with a customer. He was a black guy, much better looking than me, dressed in the latest Urban styles, and he oozed self confidence. You could actually see little cartoon hearts twirling above her head!

I realized then that she was no racist, it was that I was NOT her type! She wasn't interested in a nerdy, quiet guy in a beat up army jacket buying a Stone Temple Pilots CD.

Who would think that years later, I would end up marrying a black woman! Haha!

Isnt "coloured man" a racial term in itself, a certain actor certainly got roasted for using such a term?

Your profile screams "soap box" you almost will certainly deter people from approaching you on the basis of them having to tread on eggshells for fear of offending. A lot of comments have made clear that fab is all about preferences as is life, its not a regime against anyone ethnicity, sexual pref, appearance, lifestyle its simply just a choice.

Try to have fun amongst a group of like minded people instead of creating a non existent racial war.

I personally find nothing wrong with anyone referring to me as black....its what I am and I love it, the reason many folks seem to feel as though they are walking through a minefield is for one simple reason....black folks in the past were at the end of so many different derogatory terms for a real long time, and the culprits who brought this about passed it on until some sane folks realised we are no different to anyone and chose to put end to it....like an earthquake we all will experience the aftershock......if I were in such a place I probably would feel im walking through a minefield.....its not a perfect world x

Yes we all know what happened in the past, but some choose not to let it be just that and use it as a trump card, the egyptians pretty much enslaved everyone, jews, hebrews, isralites, the nazis tried to ethnic cleanse, and the christians pretty much went on a killing spree forever and enslave the third world with nonsense in return for food and water.. slavery is still rife worldwide.. that debate is for another day on another platform!

Being proud of who you are should be by your own merits in your past and future and your decisions, not others poor choices.

Getting the hump and dredging up historical reasons because you cant get your black/white/green/purple cock sucked by anyone is outright ridiculous and immature.

Some of us white folks actually mingle with the black folks to the extent that we have children who are consider black folks (in the USA, one eight black is black, or it was when I lived there) so, are we allowed to have an opinion, those of us that live in the twilight in between world?

Honestly, white folks lecturing black people on how they should feel about race is just cringeworthy.

This is going to be good.."

Pointless arguing with a wannabe knight, he is only exacerbating the race row, what do us "white folk" know anyway, it was all our faults so we should just bend over..

Valid point though the egyptians are dead so fuck all those who suffered..

Nazis no longer rule so fuck the jews they had it easy..

Modern day slavery of women & children, im sure those little fuckers must get a pair of nikes for every 80 million they make and the women get laid constantly so win win..

If you honestly believe racism exist only for black people then you are one naive white folk.
