I am often amazed when Lady friends of mine say they rarely/ never get chatted up anymore in public.

In my opinion many of them are fairly to very attractive and all of them have brilliant personalities (or they wouldnt be my friend).

So the questions are..

When did you last attempt chat someone up in public.

When where you last approached.

And did you/they succeed?

My hubby was chatted up by loads of guys today at a Coldplay gig, one guy kept coming back and kissing hubbys hand !

Hubby was wearing a Leicester City shirt so I'm guessing the guys were all footy fans

I don't get chatted up when I go clubbing. It's more they just come up behind me and start trying to grind against me when I'm dancing. Is that chatting up? It's really off putting.

I very occasionally get asked if I want a drink at the bar, about the time when everyone else has pulled and they are doing a desperate attempt to get a shag before kicking out time.

Makes a girl feel so special.

When I was young (17 ish) and went clubbing I used to get chatted up at least once a night, but they were usually pissed as a fart so I never took them seriously.

The last time I went out to a bar was for a Rugby International a few years ago and I was corne_ed by a very determined 18 year old man who wouldn't take a "no thanks" for love nor money. He was very gauche and bar_ed my way until my friend rescued me

Last month a guy stopped me in Aberdeen to tell me he had the greatest ass he had ever seen and asked for my number. I declined as he looked very young. Gave me a boost until a week later when another guy in Aberdeen mistook me for a prostitute and asked if I was looking for business!

I sometimes get in to conversation with men I don't know but I wouldn't call it chatting up on either side. Does it still go on like it used to when I was a young woman and you couldn't sit on the bus or go to a bar without being hit on or have the various apps put a stop to that?
