I have only watched 5 mins of the new top gear so far and it's making me gag it's that bad

But I have to watch it to see how rubbish it gets

Turn off! I gave it 15 mins and then turned over. Using the same catchphrases as the old team and trying to do the same type of show just doesn't work!

We thought that. I know nothing about making television shows but it seems basic to me that the new Top Gear should have been completely different.

Yep, they should have drawn a line in the sand and started a fresh. I'll wait for the new show on Amazon with the original and the best presenters!

Well to be honest I thought Clarkson and co had become tired caricatures of themselves but I'm a woman . My personal opinion is that it was time for change and some floral seat covers ...joking about the seat covers probably

I will give it the benefit of the doubt and probably watch a couple more although I won't be upset if I miss them. Overall the opening show was a bit shit. As others have said, a different crowd of presenters trying to copy the presentation style of the last presenters which is always going to be hard. It felt so much like Chris Evans was trying to be Jeremy Clarkson. I like cars so I will always have a bit of an interest in a show like this but it was pretty uninspiring stuff.

I was a massive fan and you know what, the new ones not too bad. Think people presumed it was just going to pick off where it left off. The original 3 didn't have the connection on screen at the start so it needs time to gel. Also James May wasn't even a presenter when it first came back!

Basically think people are just judging it because it's not Clarkson and crew, give it time.

Used to love watching it, clarkson was funny just cos hr is a total twat. They seem to have found the only man more twatier than him though.

I couldn't bring myself to watch it. I can't stand Chris Evans even at the best of times.

A few years ago he was at Party in the Park ( Hyde Park ) and he absolutely killed a good atmosphere with bad presenting.

I think the previous three presenters once had a laddish charm about them which sat ill on older heads they eventually looked like men deep in a mid life crisis. The new presenters might gel and build up a rapport but I think it might be more a clash of giant egos.
