Although we live in far more enlightened and tolerant times it feels as though the Trans community is probably still the one that is the least integrated / accepted.

Having said that, the community is more open and it is easier to find and meet. And that's a good thing. Quite a few happy times and some beautiful encounters.

I've got to admit that although I dress for myself I also love the effect it sometimes has on other people. I like to wear things that will turn them on as well as myself.

That the truth take off the make up and wats there? I remember years ago going out dressed in my brother's coat had very short hair and no make up. Saw a couple and wen the woman made eye contact and smiled her lad gave me a look. I undid my coat and once my boobs were seen then the lad looked ova much to the horror of hes gf. Wat am saying is tvs are men and am female no matter how we dress

This is kinda true. Tv's like to dress up for a variety or reasons.

Transgender and transsexual people are strikingly different. Bear in mind there are male and female trans people too.

Absolutely. Ok I accept I'm on the borderline of having "passing" privilege, but as a transwoman i certainly don't "dress up" for kicks or whatever. Half the time I can't be bothered to wear makeup anymore. It's all about who you are. I know I'm a woman and always have been. I just happen to have been born with a penis.

The way I see it is everyone has different needs, wants and desires. On top of that, everyone is different on how they see themselves, how they portray themselves and what they want to get out of life. Now, that's a hell of a lot of combinations as to what a person is!

Take me for instance, I live a 'straight' life but acknowledge that I'm bi. I dress to please myself but enjoy any positive attention I get from guys. I've never been physically attracted to a guy but I do want to have sex with them when i'm dressed by assuming the female role. For me, it's the act rather than the person. So what does that make me? Frankly, I don't care.

The bottom line is, life's too short to worry about which box you fit in, so if it feels right, go for it.
