"I'm not sure I'd call them classy, but then classy isn't something everyone aspires to be, funky, interesting, beautiful, artistic, individual yes. I've got plans for many more tattoos and classy isn't the word I'll be looking for to describe them, they are for me because I am just me! Mrs x"

"I got mine to further enhance my feminine look. I get lots of compliments and they're a great ice breaker which gets me in a room with lots of people " Mostly people start a conversation with us about my Ink...They use it as an ice breaker. Maybe, it was because ,I said no to someone. They felt they could be rude and abusive.

"There's a lady at the gym I go to that looks all serious and is very stand off'ish in fact hardly talks to anyone in the body pump class but one day when she was doing a bending exercise infront of me I noticed that the bottom of her trousers had lifted to reveal a vine style tattoo around one ankle; a few lessons later, the bottom of her top lifted and I could see that the tattoo went all the way up her leg and at least around her waist - she's not so boring after all and I think it gives a clue as to what lies beneath."

I prefer "Chav Barcode" to "Tramp Stamp" And comments and attitudes like this let us ladies know who to avoid..tattoos or not lol. Oh and by the way. I very well educated. Run my own business. The definition of chav. Is someone who has or wears something they can't afford. I see that as a personal insult. You don't know me. So don't refer to me as a chav!!! Thanks all the same Definitely agree. Certainly the ones to avoid ha ha..."

"Really don't like them on either men or women. Infact, would probably be a deal-breaker for us. x Your choice of course. But find that abusive. Never judge a book by its cover." Why is it abusive to say they don't like tattoos?! What an odd statement.

"I think they look awful. Two of my daughters have tattoos and take pleasure in showing them off to me and playfully mock me saying "all those years of Johnson's baby lotion and olive oil massaged into our skin wasted hey mum". I wasn't impressed paying an additional £500 for a lace bolero to cover her tattoos as she didn't want them to spoil her wedding pictures! " Why was it wasted? They still have nice skin, just some of it is more colourful than the rest of it. And if buying the bolero for your daughters wedding was that much of an issue you should have made her pay for it. She chose to have tattoos, if she didn't want them to show she should pay tool cover them up.

"Well I hope my tattoo at the base of my back won't be classed as a trap stamp I'm having a dream catcher on my back with the feathers going down my spine with a dream quote going across the base of my back. Will that look too trampy " Tramp stamp is more of a generalised name for any tattoo on the lower back....much like a flasher Mac or winkle picker shoes

"On another thread someone slagged my tattoos off saying it's such a shame you get ones when d*unk with no meaning. Well I was not d*unk just young and they do have meaning to me and that's all that matters. I want more I need to loose a bit more weight and save up. A tattooist called my heart on my shoulder a slag tag. We all have our own views and honestly I couldn't give fuck what others think of me or my tattoos. "

"Well this thread has just found another 3 or 4 added to the block list. I don't give a fuck that you DON'T have any tattoos. Maybe we'll start refusing meets with those who don't have any... Or just those who think it's ok to be insulting and narrow minded " Who has been insulting?! I think I must have my offense filter turned on or something, quite a few threads I've seen today have claimed offensive posts but I've seen nothing Like anything, tattoos are a preference and we all know preferences are a-ok to express on fab

"An interesting article to read: "Tattoos: what is their significance?" on the Royal College of Psychiatrists website" HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! Only read the abstract, you gotta be fucking kidding me! I will read the full article now but the Abstract alone has a HUGE scientist's bias stamped all over it as far as I'm concerned. And to pre-empt that I should be biased myself: I have no tattoos, not a single one.

"Tattoos on women, classy? Or as directed to myself yesterday, tramp stamp ?...wondering what everyone's view's are ?" Who ever said that is rude and very uneducated. I love tattoos and every girl back in the day had a tattoo about her bum. But if you have a few i like. But if you want to pull of a sleeve or massive tattoos i think that you need to be a little different and abit out there. In my opinion i think that any tattoos are sexy especially the ones that are hidden and cheeky.

"I got mine to further enhance my feminine look. I get lots of compliments and they're a great ice breaker which gets me in a room with lots of people " This answers my queston, I've become a bit vary of complimenting people's tattoos as I thought they migh be tired of the attention to them? But sounds like I'm safe to start complimenting them! "A tattooist called my heart on my shoulder a slag tag. " Ooh, Interesting! I would actually use that deliberalty to empower myself! I could do with getting laid outside Swinging too, perhaps if I got a temporay "Slag Tag" it would be clearer that I'm easy to pull / AKA love sex!

"I'm not sure I'd call them classy, but then classy isn't something everyone aspires to be, funky, interesting, beautiful, artistic, individual yes." "... what constitutes 'classy', is how a person conducts themselves. The word itself is just a throw back to the class system, a nod to belonging to the high class elite and aristocracy. " I thought that, tattoos have not really got anything to do with classy or not. And this, "I think its a bit old fashioned to look at them as anything other than just fun body art." Tattoos are a more modern thing now. " ...They felt they could be rude and abusive." I thought that too when I read the thread post, those people would probably have found anything to be nasty to you about, some people get off on bullying a bit

"Really don't like them on either men or women. Infact, would probably be a deal-breaker for us. x Your choice of course. But find that abusive. Never judge a book by its cover." Not ment to be abusive, we just don't find them attractive. And its just a personal choice. I never said that the person with the tatoo was a horrible person. I know loads of people with them, family, friends. Its just not our thing. To each his own. x
