I fell in love with a Kyrgyz lesbian... it was never going to happen, but she could make me smile more than any woman alive... we are now the best of friends; the desirous love died and now she is my friend, confident, like a sister.

Passionate love is a flower that needs to be nourished (reciprocated), else the bud will never open

"Unless I'm missing something aren't you a couple?"

Yes, maybe i didn't come across right. I fell in love with someone years ago, and have no intentions of taking it further, just wondered if it was just me being weird.

not weird at all. i've found you can't stop loving someone after you've started.

so long as you accept the reality of the situation then it's actually a nice thing to do.

Hmmm, that sounds like you're still in love with them? Not sure I can really give you any helpful advice. Do they know?

A lesbian from the Kyrgyz Republic (formerly Kyrgyzstan, formerly part of the soviet union). She is Slavic Kyrgyz (there are two main groups; Central Asian (Mongol origin) and Slavic(Russian origin)...

Very beautiful, an environmental lawyer, so very funny... she is like the sun, and though I cannot ever hold her the way I once wished, I still think she's the most "real" woman I have ever met.... eek (bit gushing ain't it?!)

In answer to the original question . Yes . I am .

I fell in love and ballsed it up . I'll never get the opportunity to be with that person again but there's not a day goes by I don't think of her and sadly everyone I meet I compare to her

Strange old world

Come on guys!! None of this sorrow, never feel sad for what was... because it once WAS.... life isn't about having, it's about living, don't tarnish your memories, be happy for those you have loved, then who knows? Maybe you can love again too...

Feel a bit sad after reading all these posts; I empathise with your pain, but, well summers coming... who knows right?

Why do we so often long for that which is out of reach?

Loved someone 5 years ago. Had the best time ever with her. Soon realised it was never going anywhere due to certain factors and we both had to call it off. Kept in touch as friends but soon after I had to let go of her totally otherwise I'd never be able to fully move on.

...turns out I still haven't.

Ah well. Such is life.

A world of my own

Currently

The sad thing in it all is that we both feel the same. It just can't ever be the happy ever after. It hurts and I think I cry myself to sleep most nights over it.

When we do see each other it's wonderful then he leaves and my heart breaks into a million pieces.

Yes and still am. He is very happily married and I would do nothing to spilt them up.

He is my rock, my best friend, my confidant. I can talk to him about anything and everything and know he will give me the best advice possible.

I was with someone for two years before she ended it, and in truth I was still in love with her for at least another four after the break up. It was the most intense two years of my life and I know that real love exists because I've felt it. She's the only person I could ever sit in a room with and say nothing and be totally comfortable and happy with. I was never happier than when I woke up next to her each morning. The chemistry was electric. Unfortunately after a series of conversations about our future I knew deep down she would only ever do what's best for her at the expense of what was better for us, she would quite happily risk hurting me to get what she wanted. This became even more apparent after the split as she would text me late into the night even though she had met someone else, but whenever I asked her if she wanted to get back together she would say no. At this point I started to see a side of her that I really didn't like. That didn't stop me loving her but now I'm glad I'm not with her. Had she only been a little more sensitive to our needs as well as her own I believe we would have had the most amazing life together. But it is what it is and now I'm looking for that feeling with the right woman. That and some naughty fun

Yer and I still struggle sometimes when I when I see her.

But I'm happy that's she's happy and somethings aren't meant to be.
