Body mods - nipple removal?

You lot often know a lot and have experienced a lot.

Anybody come across someone who had, or have had youselves, nipples removed? Male or female.

I am thinking about the two 'normal' ones at breast height. (Yes, I know, pending the effect of gravity at various levels!)

I've seen it. Seems like it'd lead to mastitis and further complications for females, not sure about men.

I've a third one. I wouldn't get it removed as it's so small, it's really just not worth it. I think only 3 people have noticed out of everyone who's seen me nude, so it's hardly an issue.

"No...is this an actual thing?...interesting."

It's an extreme modification, a lot either do it themselves or are so involved in the mod scene that they have it done off the books, so to speak. A lot of the older ones look like a slim line for a scar, newer removals have much smaller scars.

Some people also have belly buttons removed. Or ear cartilage removed and pointed like elves. Lots of stuff goes on really.

I just find it fascinating that people do this sort of thing and wonder what drives them..is it the quest for being more extreme? To shock? It can't be because they think it looks better, can it?

It does seem to be an actual thing, As said above here, appears to be an extreme body mod.

But in my search I also came across the concept that nipples can interfere with tattoos and therfore are removed.

There should be an artist in Wolverhampton who'd broadcast a male nipple removal he did. It's also on a list of one Tattoo&Mod shop in Northern Quarter.

And then there's the whole agender, FtM, etc, etc, perspective to it too.

You sound, and look like you're pretty cool about it? That's good then.

I've wanted to get rid of my eye brows, they're the same as my dads so i hate them. I don't think i could go that extreme but i get why some people would. I just shave mine off if they bother me.

What I find amazing is that there are qualified surgeon's who are willing to remove body parts for fashion

People may not agree with me but it just astounds me how low some people will go to make money

Not really too different than removing flesh/fat or adding implants in the pursuit of beauty, it's just a different concept. All have similar risks what with open wounds so all should be done by surgeons, but lots of body mod artists seem to think they're qualified to act as surgeons and some even administer anaesthetics. That's the real danger of the trend.
