Should there be an option to block certain ethnicities from adding you or looking at your profile cause there might as well be with the amount of profiles i read that say sorry no asians just a preference.

Its just like have a block on anyone who is only intrested in women which then stops men from messaging them. Simple really to understand but why isnt it possible to do that to block a certain ethnicity that you might not want messaging you or adding you.

I'd suggest not because it's just that - a preference - it's doesn't mean NEVER EVER NEVER....just 'unlikely and probably not but maybe one day...'

I see your point see thats what i dont understand about some people who say no to asians or blacks or whites. What if the person is super attractive would it still be a no? Makes you wonder doesn't it.

But how do you police that ?

Or how far do you take it ?

For example I don't fancy black people, but have a real soft spot for mixed race (possibly more than other white people)

By the same token, paler skinned asians can be really hot, but the darker skinned don't interest me.

Maybe we could have a Dulux colour chart added to our profiles that potential meets can compare their skin tone to before messaging ?

That's not meant to be offensive to anyone, but is no less a silly suggestion than your own.

Hmmm.....I've been applying my preferences to myself and can't see myself ever saying yes so maybe it is a NEVER EVER NEVER.

I think the word 'preference' - being related to 'preferable' got me, rather than it meaning in fab terms 'no chance, fuck off'

Nope. It would merely restrict the opportunity to build relations with others.

People have been known to relax their preferences you know.

Some have guidelines but base the final decision on an individuals merit rather than pre-set agenda.

I take affirmative action and block those who say no fat/ large couples or bi guys. Saves our time.

I don't think its a great idea to be honest. I also think putting no Asians, blacks etc on a profile isn't great either I mean, I know its a personal preference and we all have them but if someone messages you have no interest in regardless of reason then just ignore or politely turn down. Putting no this/no that etc when it comes to ethnicity this seems to get some people's backs up and wind them up but to be fair, some on here could be wound up by a leaf blowing past them!
