it's well recognised that a sex addict will risk anything to get their fix. they will jeapordise their jobs and family in the drive to gain sexual fulfillment.

i'm about 50p short of that

by the definition of sexual addiction I think most on this site could be diagnosed as being so..

Am I.. Yup apparently so.. do I take risks.. sometimes..outdoors sex is one of Master and I's fav things..

Is it multiple times in a row.. oh yes when time permits.. is it every day we are together.. without fail..(unless on my period)

Do we then like to play on top of that.. Yup..

Do I get a buzz from sex.. erm.. yes with Master.. its more a nice feeling from others..

I wouldnt go out of my way to make a fool of myself over it.. but if there is a slight chance.then we both take it..

certainly sounds like it when you read what some folk write. Me, for swinging it depends on the period, I get periods when I want it all the time and then a little while when I am indifferent and would rather just be with Tiger.

When trying to save my first marrage I was told that I was a sex addict!!

What I put down to being a very high sex drive was considered by "those in the know" as an addiction! I would not say I am an addict but then again all addicts say that, for me I enjoy a lot of regular sex and a lot of varied sex, nothing weird though. I have no interest in Kids, animals, or all that messy stuff!!

Am I addicted to swinging??? quite possibly!!!

I used to do it regardless of the negatives the sex was having.. I would enjoy the initial buzz.. but then after go on a downer..

Master noticed that and for a while used his control over me to stop doing the behaviour.. made me re learn.. I actually am more sexually active now, and do more, but its in a way that it doesnt take over my life..

My previous marraige broke up because he complained that I wanted sex every day.. he wanted a normal wife that wasnt always in the mood..

I have been to therapy for my addiction..but I knew how to get around that.. joys of knowing what answers they wanted to hear..

oh it can...... I lost a job I loved.. I lost friends because I couldnt help myself..

and yes... sending a psychologist to see a psychologist is a little pointless.. lol

It can be devestating.. Luckily for me my Master found me...and saved me in so many ways... I may still seem pretty addicted.. and I still do have some issues but all kept very firmly in check...

I do think your some of the way there knowing you have this. Its hard to have a normal life do normal things with this in your life 24/7 ...like alot of things like drink, drugs , its a escape from the real world some say we do it because we like it ... yes maybe at the start that was true .. but when take over its addiction.

True sex addicts are too busy doing it to find time to read or write about it.

My friends husband was a sex addict and it drove them apart. He wanted it every half hour morning noon and night and when he wasn't doing her he was wanking. He had to get therapy in the end. My friend was no prude and loved sex too but she couldn't cope with his obsession with it. I think a lot of people with a high libido call it sex addiction.

Mine was actually out of control.. I would play with myself way above average.. I couldnt turn it down.. it was destroying me.. my now ex husband got where he wouldnt come to bed while I was awake. and started sleeping in clothes..

We are married too.. and I would find a way to cope.. I was never submissive before, and one of the things Master trains me is that when away from me( which due to work is quite a bit) I can cope.. but I like giving up my control.. It is a way I find I can still serve even while away..

I dont have to worry about what I wear, as I know in advance. Even going on here..I am rarely refused, but know that Master can if it pleased Master to do so.

its rather liberating to be like this.. ( if that makes sense)

I have hqad a higher sex drive than all of my sexual partners..It isnt all that its cracked up to be as they cant keep up and I get frustrated as I nee/ want sex more than they do and this can cause all sorts of problems

I have to comprimise so much but then w all make sacrifices at times.... When I am with a partner I love sex often has to take to the sidelines as I know that my drive is very high and most people are satifies with once a day?

Think alot here have high sex drives and the more we have maybe more we like at times. But alot live normal lifes have jobs family, friends and as well as this and it dont take over there them 24/7.

It distracts me in work every day, it has affected my business (and previous business too)

It is definitely affecting my home life too and my marriage

I also believe it is stress related, the less stress I'm under, the less I need the release. When I'm very stressed it becomes my total focus to seek that temporary escapism.

I also think that I have sexual encounters with guys because its so much easier than finding women who are as addicted to sex as there are guys.

I've tried a lot of things to kick the habit, but keep coming back for more.

You only need to look at the amount of couples or guys who say "straight" on their profile, but put TV/TS as a preference.

I think its a way of rationalising the act, but its still sex with the same sex just packaged up differently. If you pardon the terminology.

I also know 2 females on here who recently discovered the site and the ease at which they can get "no strings" quick sex fixes and they have the added advantage of a large group of willing volunteers. You could say they were addicts now too, they're both certainly making up for any shortfall in their marriage.

I tend to think they're just confused. If you are bisexual/gay then you are bisexual/gay and have alwasy been that way inclined or became that way after being straight bourne out of curiousity so the tendency was there all along.

Straight men don't even consider having sex with another man no matter how much they want sex, so its not even a consideration - they're just straight and stay straight. I think its insulting to straight men and women to say that everyone really thinks of having gay/bisexual encounter. I don't. Im straight. End of.

Symptomatic of addiction is running away from feelings..call it escapism if yer like ..its never a true release as the feelings are still their after the action taken to anaesthetise them..compounded by living a secret life which involves a web of lies and deception ...only rachets up the fear of discovery and loss of those things that maybe important..family .friends ..career..a viscious cycle

Some say its also indicative of lack of intimacy ..able to express feelings ....people with sex addiction often just feel numb ....

Terrible loop to be in ...hope anyone suffering gets some therapy ...talking based is a good idea...and learns a different strategy fer coping with life ...yet still has a fufilling sex life ...

i love the forums but do things when i here ..... its not the be all and end all of my life .. and i would not drop everything for a meet .. we are all diffrent i love reading the posts ... and getting things off my chest at times here xx

I dunno, the tendency for women to be bi could be cos women are so varied in their approaches to erotisism and sensuality, this is fairly rare in a man.
