why do people lie?

So I finally take the plunge and arrange a meet.

Guy seemed nice and genuine. He adds me on whatsapp and been chatting all week.

Then not only doesn't turn up but has removed his pic from whatsapp??

I politely messaged him via fab and w/app to check he was turning up but no response.

He hasn't even gone to the effort of blocking/deleting.

So why can't they just let you know or even say they've changed their mind?

If you block someone on whatsapp they can't see your pic on there. Have you tried messaging on there? Did it say delivered (two ticks)?

You will never know. After the initial wondering what happened I would forget he even existed. As a very curious cat myself I do want to know why people do this but,as they never tell,I tend to forget and move along to the next person.

There are an awful lot of folks on this site who get off on the thrill of being associated with genuine swingers. They get that thrill from being in contact with people who actually enjoy sexual contact and participate in sex with others. They are safe in the knowledge that their commitment needs never be challenged as they can go and hide at the last minute.

Rudeness comes naturally to them.

We would say that 50% of all the meets we have set up have ended in no shows. That's why we will only meet new acquaintances at a club on nights that we would normally go to anyway. That way we don't finish up wasting our time.

So I deleted the guys number from whatsapp and off of fab as didn't see the point in keeping it.

Then this morning I get a random unknown message of -

Have you removed whatsapp? If you didn't want to meet you only had to say so x

I responded with who is this as I do not know the number but don't remember his either.

He is also the only guy I have added recently so couldn't be anyone else.

No response since and he still hasn't read my message as to where he was last fri.

Yep it was all in place for a local social. He only lives 5 mins down the road.

Just seems odd the amount of effort put into chatting to me then standing me up.

The block button is your friend on this one (here & whatsapp), then you can't see whether he is online or not, or anything else. It is annoying, but no point worrying about him much longer, there will be others waiting in the wings for you

I only get one childfree full weekend off a month (well work one day) so I do try to choose my meets carefully.

lots do on here and it gives us genuine guys a bad name I send lots of messages on here and some reply some don't , most that reply are really time wasters next time you see some one and like them look at the people they have met when they met them how long and how far away they are from there meet that way you can sus them out as to say message me if you want and I will tell you more about it

lots do on here and it gives us genuine guys a bad name I send lots of messages on here and some reply some don't , most that reply are really time wasters next time you see some one and like them look at the people they have met when they met them how long and how far away they are from there meet that way you can sus them out as to say message me if you want and I will tell you more about it

I don't have any veris to be fair although pre meets have offered. Prefer not to though.

I politely messaged him via fab and w/app to check he was turning up but no response.

lots do on here and it gives us genuine guys a bad name I send lots of messages on here and some reply some don't , most that reply are really time wasters next time you see some one and like them look at the people they have met when they met them how long and how far away they are from there meet that way you can sus them out as to say message me if you want and I will tell you more about it

she did say that, the fact remains he didn't answer her txt or message on here and now suddenly hes resurfaced, lying about something that's for sure. nowt to do with veris

Unfortunately there can be many reasons, some feasible some not. Anyhow who we kidding, everyone is aware that there are a high percentage of fake profiles! Just ruins it for the genuine people. Shame eally as sometimes it's just down to luck with the attention you draw in.

The reality is most on fab are just bedroom keyboard bashers in crap situations where they can't be honest with themselves or their partners. They love the chase and the chat and thats it sadly.

Its a numbers game. Block um and move on.

I was chatting to a guy once on whatsapp and the night before we talked of meeting up later that week. The next day he had deleted his profile and photo went from his whatsapp. So I sent a simple message saying I noticed this and he said he was sorry but just decided to buy a flight to Australia and would love to meet but he flies out the next week! Lol!!!!!!!! I have heard some excuses but 'WIFE' alert springs to mind!!!!!!! Then I was instantly blocked. Hilarious!

Thank you, I don't pay attention to veris and have requested any of my meets not to add any on mine. Just a personal preference really x
