Definitely for me! I like to feel totally relaxed and ready to let myself go....what do other folk think?

I prefer to stay sober for sex, just a personal preference. I don't mind if my partner drinks though.

Once you start kissing and touching all the nerves disappear anyway and nature kicks in.

A civilised glass of something nice shared with a like minded person or people is a nice preamble, although neither of us would drink until we were half cut!

Yep, meets in the past, successful ones have involved alcohol...I'm now, rightly or wrongly only messaging profilers who do drink

A drink isn't an essential part of a meet for me but one to take the edge off and relax you in a social setting is always a nice start to the meet

I like a glass of wine or two makes me feel more relaxed and less nervous

A drink and chat not essentially alcoholic before progressing is always good. If in a hotel then the bar is fine, going direct to a room can make some uneasy.

I do have a couple of drinks sometimes. I get too nervous beforehand. Not enough to get tipsy.. Just a bit of dutch courage.

Using alcohol to calm nerves, increase confidence, drop inhibitions is a recipe for disaster.

Prefer being sober and the person I meet to be as well. Can always have a drink during or afterwards.

It's not an essential. But I have enjoyed the flirting over a glass of wine when I've been nervous.

Not to say I haven't enjoyed nerves over a decent cup or tea

Personally I wouldn't want to meet someone who needed alcohol for Dutch courage prior to a meet. I don't like the taste, smell of alcohol on others so kissing would be unpleasant.

I prefer not to drink but if the occasion lends itself to a drink then I will. I don't need it to loosen me up or dutch courage. I'm fine as I am...............arguably!

No, not unless we're sharing a cheeky wee glass of wine. Rather be sober to enjoy the experience.

I'm not a robot or a machine and I like to connect at least a little with my partner before playing, the alcohol isn't important, the chat is

There's a big difference between necking a bottle of wine to numb the doubt and chatting for an hour or so while sipping a glass.

I'll drink, but it doesn't bother me if they do or don't, just as long as neither party gets d*unk.
