We keep being asked if we have Kik and want to chat. I know what Kik is but don't understand why people would want to chat this way.

You would never get a moments restbite.

What is the app-eal?

Unfortunately Kik and whatsapp are often used by picture collectors.

I think one of them doesn't rely on your phone number so is an anonymous way of keeping in easy contact.

I guess the upside is if you want to chat to someone you aren't having to ferret out their messages from a busy inbox.

Personally I prefer texting but again, both those apps use your data allowance and are pretty much free to use.

Because it is easier, as all the messages will be stored and you wont lose it between other ones.

I think kik is so you can chat on your phone direct without having to give a number and you can also block them just as quick, sometimes it is easier and more discrete than logging into Fab as you go about your business!

Just sometimes personal preference!

Kik doesn't require a phone number and it's a much better chat experience than the website, which is kind of clunky and stuck in the past. We find it's good for getting to know people pre-meet, allows a group chat between two couples, and it's easy to block/mute.

We never give out our phone numbers pre-meet, too many "horror stories".

I refuse to use whatsapp, did this last year with my then partner, he had the couple's number but I didn't - can't remember what happened, but there was some nasty things said (basically he wanted to fuck me, but his wife didn't want to fuck my partner as he was big) so we said thanks but no thanks, it was all or nothing. this guy said some nasty things to my partner, so he blocked him on whatsapp, because it's all done through the phone numbers he started texting him too, that number got blocked, so he used his wife's number, and kept changing the number... in the end he did stop, but we both vowed not to use whatsapp again. I stick to Kik.

I find as soon as I add somebody to kik I just keep getting messages asking for pics and I end up blocking them, no good ever comes from adding people

That's the kind of drama I want to avoid - not changing my phone number every time someone decides to get nasty. At least a kik account I can delete and have done with it - burning a phone number isn't so easy!

Same here, fab is for arranging meets on fab

When I log off I don't want people calling and texting me, to be honest I gets on my nerves when I'm at work and guys off here keep messaging me

I get this a lot too,guys make contact on fab and one of the first questions they ask is 'do you have Kik or whatsapp?'

Like some others,I just don't see the need,,you can get Fab app on your phone with e.mail alerts for messages,,,that works just fine for me.If I liked someone that much we would probably exchange phone numbers anyway.Anyone concerned about being pestered,,maybe be a bit more choosy about the people rather than the means of communication.

I like to get to know someone before I meet them and I cant always be logged on Fab. I also enjoy picture sharing as its part of the build up for me.

I prefer to use whatsapp as I hate Kik but just as people are saying people have your number, I've had quite a few crazy people making new Kik accounts to message and harass me so its no better really.

Same here. But I do prefer Kik as it's still more anonymous than giving out your phone number.

This is all well and good, once you've spoken to someone a little, then you swap numbers, kik, fav drink, shoe size, etc and progress from there.

Certain way easier getting to know someone with an almost real time convo.

I'm not entirely sure thats what they OP were meaning... or I missed the point.

The exact reason why we'd never give our numbers out.

Maybe not to this extreme but we've had a similar experience with people who cannot take a polite no.

KIK is good- no numbers,very easy to block others if needs be but also allows group chat so we're both in the conversation

I use kik because last time I give out my mobile number I was getting abusive text so now ill chat to any female's or couple's though kik if we all have fun this way ...love Burton xx

If I come on here i get fifty messages from guys with a one line profile. Plus I cannot manage that amount of messages, hopefully when I am not disappearing up my backside.

Kik offers a message service with pics...and not giving out your number like whatsapp. Given that about 70% of fab to users use it, I would suggest it has some merits.

Maybe embrace...if it does not work for your lifestyle..then delete...not a big judgement call

Kik is more like a live conversation, so you can chat away with each other.

It's sad there are so many unthinking fools on here who have no clue and certainly aren't swingers.

I always use Kik to "chat" as it's quicker than using here. Also, I always ask for a personalised live photo to cheek they are the person they are claiming to be. I'm always happy to do the same and it gives non verified members a chance.

1) messages on here get deleted if you have too many in inbox, messages get lost and it can be hard to keep up with who said what and what their picture looks like etc

2)I get notifications. I can see if i get a message and reply as and when it suits me rather than continually checking online

3) Don't have to feel like a lengthy reply is needed. you can respond and get along better in real time and i don't feel bad for writing a short reply.

4) It's easier to send and receive images which can spice the conversation up a bit.

5) If someone looks over my shoulder (who is vanilla) they'll only see i'm chatting on kik instead of getting the fright of seeing me on fab!

Kik u don't hve to give out ur no. Quite true u don't get a min. I used to hve it but deleted it & won't reinstall it.

Well we are those unthinking fools who are swingers who only like to meet in person .

Not here to chat or interact in any other way than face to face .

Unfortunately for some, we can't all work that way. Fair enough that's how you use the site but for us for example, we have young kids and can't just meet people face to face whenever. It can be a few weeks before we meet someone so having a bit of a chat beforehand can help fill the gap a bit.

Also, not everyone is all DTF here. We enjoy being sociable. As much as this is a sex site, it's not 100% about the sex for us. We've made some awesome friends along the way.

I found when I had kik they instantly thought " oh yes she gives out pics " WRONG .. I have whatsapp for friends and family.

Currently in two groups for work and keep fit, drives me potty with the ding ding all the time, can't see the harm in chatting on here to be fair.

I exchange messages on here a bit first. Once I think we may be compatible and a meet is a possibility then I'll chat on kik. The type of people i share my kik with probably won't ask for pics anyway....

Only one or two trusted individuals get my number for what's app chat.

I've had zero problems with anyone so far and it's easy to block.

Chat is so much easier than going online and checking messages. As I always have my phone I can reply when it's convenient and the conversation can flow...

I'm a kik fan. Anonymous, useful and easy

KIk is safe way to private instant chat as you do t have to give your mobile number which you do need to use for Whatsapp
