How Far Is Too Far

Manchester

I've lost count of the number of messages we get stating "shame you're so far away".

I'm biased but I would have thought Wilma was worth a train, plane or automobile journey

Got me wondering. What's the furthest anyone has had someone travel to meet with them. And was that "blind", as in no Skype beforehand, just messaging and the pictures on here?

Halifax

Wow. She does look like a bit of a wee goddess indeed.

Sycophancy aside(..!), my furthest was from Paington. We hadn't Skyped, just chatted for ages via text.

Apart from that, there was one lady from just north of Stoke.

We never meet blind so always chat and do social meets first, but we did once meet someone in a social gathering who a few weeks later flew over from Italy, otherwise it's been the usual hour or so. X

i don't really like guys to travel more than 40 miles to me, takes them way too long to get here.

have had a few guys offer to travel 150+ miles but i lose interest in them because i know i won't see them regular and get nervous about them making all that effort for me also. well seems a big deal to me anyway.

Brighton - even Hove!

It's more of a time issue for me rather than the distance per se.

I travelled to brent in north london, it is 18miles with the tube. I did see her pictures before I met her.

It is too far as I usually want to keep it within few miles, but it depends who you will meet, in that case the same city.

By the seaside

The further they have to travel the more likely they are to want to stay over. Yes I accommodate but that means the meet not that I run a bed & breakfast

South West London / Surrey

The furthest we've travelled is right the other side of London. Which in miles isn't far but takes frigging forever driving and in traffic.

We're often limited by time, so now only meet those an hour away max.

Did have a meet with a couple from Newcastle and a man from Ireland but they didn't travel just to see us, they combined meeting us with other things.

Trying to get my favorite fish to come over to the AMERICA'S,even offering to cover half the cost or better! This old trout prefers to stay in her "tin-can" than head upstream to be eaten/& spawned ! Time to change the bait? Or take the pan off the fire..? I'm too devoted/tenacious to quit, or just daft & stupid...!

We've put up the odd 'meet today' really late at night as a spur of the moment kind of thing and always been surprised at how far people claim they would drive at midnight!

The furthest we've had is a bloke from Liverpool (but that was planned before) and the furthest for a last minute 'meet tonight' was about 90 mins. He must have had a nice clear road driving back though

I've travelled to Liverpool and Nottingham and the furthest a guy has travelled to see me is from Coventry.

40 miles I think is the furthest I've driven. There have been some wonderful meets where the gentleman has travelled much further

Once met in Scotland, but was there for work, normally an hour away max unless travelling for other reasons

...Up on the Downs

When someone travelled 200 miles to meet me first I returned the favour but I like meets within the hour normally, less if possible.

Going blind, I've gone from Plymouth to Bristol. Though once traveling from Burnley (Near Manchester for those of you not sure) to Portsmouth I made a detour through all of Wales to Cardiff

Going in not blind, I'll add, from here in Rosyth just north of Edinburgh, to Plymouth (on a 10 hour train on a good day).

We can't guarantee we'd manage so within 30miles(an hours driving) family and such could be awkward and we like a social first to calm nerves. Any further than that is a no go unless we're on a weekend away and can meet elsewhere.

About an hour is our limit unless we are going for another reason. In the past we have gone as far as Skegness just for a meet!

It appears we are less than an hour away from you...

There are two blokes respectively in Derby and Birmingham I would love to meet in a club, but so far I can't be bothered driving any further than Swindon, Manchester.

Does Derby even have a Swingers' Club?

Unless I feel that they're very special, I'd say an hour's drive maximum, for them or for me (not both!).

If we meet and then I don't fancy them for any reason (or them not fancy me), then I want to feel free to say "No Thanks" without feeling guilty about how far they've travelled...

Anyway - what is this "Shame you're too far away" business...?

I'm right here, where I want to be - it's them that's too far away, not me....!!!

Why moan to me about it..???

If and when I go home I just change the postcode and town back to my hometown address.
