What is the difference between a Master and a Dom ? Functionally what type of control/play do each do?

It varies, the only real way to find out is to ask the person that you're considering playing with.

Usually it comes down to the way that people identify. A dominant would normally have a submissive. A master would normally have a slave. It's more unusual to find a dominant / slave partnership, or a master / submissive combo.

Often d/s relationships tend to be more egalitarian in nature - the submissive is getting as much pleasure as the dominant.

M/s relationships can be more about pleasing the top - slaves tend to identify as people who get off on giving other people pleasure, so they don't need activities focussed on them as it were.

Thanks for the info so it is more how the role is looked upon by the people your playing with, some aspects of control play can be very similar but it's more how it is actually played out as to how the two are defined, I like both roles Dom and master I like to play with a sub but also like a slave so am I a master or a Dom?
