FabSwingers.com forum: Is there more to life?

It's rant day, and I don't rant too often, or when I do, it's usually about particular topics. Here's a new one ... really got me grumpy today.

We've told a few people we've got an old friend staying this weekend ... so no play, and their suggestion is to involve her in it. Are we the only ones whose lives don't revolve around swinging? Actually I value my friends and my social life more than my singing life ... and would put them first any day. Same goes without saying for the family of course, but I don't feel any need or desire to involve any other friends in this. A couple of people who've met Mr alone have assumed the same .... they might just invite themselves over to play with us all ... well .... I do despair. If your whole life revolves around meets, why would you assume everyone else's does?

i remember a guy asking if he could come round for a meet i said no because my daughter was home when he told me to send her to bed i explained she's 23 so goes to bed when she wants, his reply was well she could join in

Rant away get it out you'll feel better.

No our lives don't revolve around swinging. Our lives come first swinging is an added bonus.. Kids work ect all need to be sorted before jollies.
