Choosing the right profile name

Lets face it, as a single male you almost feel like you have to use every trick in the book to get any or the right kind of attention. I have a couple of profiles on here and I am somewhat surprised by the profile name that has attracted the most attention.

This profile used to be called DarkKnightLondon subtle and unlikely to offend anyone and it barely got any attention. Another profile with a blunt in your face ID name has been far more successful even though the content is usually almost identical.

However that success has mainly been with couples as opposed to single ladies. Have any of you single guys used similar marketing style techniques aimed at attracting the right kind of attention to your profile?

Without trying to sound horrible which is

Not the intention as we did discuss this in a recent post :

Your profile name from our point of preference would be an epic fail

Others may like it

I don't think profile names really matter.

We've found some lovely people who've had names like "dickbiscuits"

I often use profile names as filters...

Yours would not register with me but each to their own...

As for having a few profiles?

This

Any profile names that include dom, bull, and anything I deem derogatory to women I dislike instantly. It's a great filter

I love wordplay and mine came to me in a moment of inspiration - although I suspect many people don't "get" it.

I decided to go for something a bit unique, not offensive to the very picky ones, easy to remember, no use of numbers, one word name and came to this. For those wondering where it's from, I got it from Eminem's song called Berzeck where he claims to be the best so deserves a medal on his neck called Neck _edallion but the neck was useless to me lol.

Damn those fat finger typos

Was going to say that your username is one of the very best...

It's like the title of a fun movie full of derring do and sticky moments but where the heroine will overcome all that comes her way

Unlike Red... Chosen cos it's easy to enter lol

Are these shady multiple profile tactics getting you more meets?

And any chap with bull, dom, ass rammer, heavy cummer, face fucker or the like goes straight in the wheelie bin of doom from me

Names can tell me who to avoid as well as attract me.

I've no interest in a Dom or a bull, for example, so I'd know not to look.

My name is an indication of who I am and is, I suppose advertising of a sort.

Totally agree. I suspect ours fits into that category.

I find having a reference to Russian literature seems to help.

I'm the same, if a guy mails me with the words dom/bull/sir/master etc in their user name i don't even open the mail because i know i will have no interest in them

I always look at user names

Thanks for the feedback everyone some interesting points have been made. As indicated earlier. My marmite in your face profile aimed specifically at couples does what it needs to do and with its BDSM leanings it's never going to be for everyone anyway.

As for multiple profiles I don't see a problem as I am open about it. My tastes are very diverse and very varied and hardly anyone ever made the effort to read my long detailed profile when it was all under one profile so a separation still makes perfect sense to me.
