Just giving you all a heads up, Merseyrail have decided to strike that day, so those wanting to venture in to the city centre afterwards, are gunna be in for a bit of stress. Rail replacement buses and taxis is all there will be on offer

This is what it says on the website

However, it will be possible to travel to Aintree by train and a 7 ½ minute service will run between Liverpool city centre and Aintree at key times, to carry the large number of race-goers travelling to Grand National Day.

Trains for Aintree will start at 10:06 and run until 13:36, calling at Liverpool Central, Moorfields and Aintree stations only. There will be no trains from Aintree to Liverpool city centre during this time.

Trains from Aintree will start at 16:34 and run until 20:57, calling at Aintree, Moorfields and Liverpool Central stations only. There will be no trains from Liverpool city centre to Aintree during this time.

Well that's all very well, but it's still gunna cause a lot of bother for those who live in Merseyside wanting to get to aintree and don't live in the city centre, my advice, watch it at home and save ya self a lot of stress and probably a lot of money too
