Removing pictures after sending

I have noticed lots of couples are removing pictures after sending. What's really annoying is some delete the picture as soon as it's opened. I might open the mail whilst at work then show the picture to my wife later on.

Because of this screen shotting becomes very tempting and this makes removing the pictures pointless it's then in the cloud God know where that is. My advice is if your not happy sending a picture then don't send it all.

I always set my pics to be removed after viewing

If somebody opens my message and don't reply i assume they don't like me so why would they want to keep hold of my pics

As a general rule if people are interested they reply

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

I can understand why people do it if they have decided that the person is not for them but we have had it from a few people, singles and couples, who have removed the pics before my husband has had a chance to show me....when they message to say are you interested he explains that I don't do blind dates

or wait til you are both together and then open it

If we see that there are pics on a message we wait until we're together to look to try and avoid this scenario. I have to say that usually we mark our pics to delete having been caught out when a "couple" actually turned out to be a single guy. I guess it's each to their own, and nothing is completely fail safe (risk of screenshots etc). But I like having the delete option....

Suppose you get the impatient type who see you have been online and message saying why haven't you opened / answered my message?

It's a good option and I do use it sometimes but I am far too nosy to wait until himself is home

little old town of Reading!

It does irritate me tbh- I speak to multiple people, it's difficult to remember who looks like what. As for the "don't open until you are ready" option- I like to think about the replies I give to people, so unless we are in full on chat/banter mode, I often read a message and reply later once I have given the message some consideration. So that doesn't work for me

To the people that do choose the delete once opened option- what makes you choose it? I am quite curious to know

same. But I don't message couples so I don't have to worry about waiting to be vetted by the other one anyway.

Because presumably someone wants to see the photo to decide if they're attracted to me. If they have to go away and think about it for 12 hours, they're not attracted to me. They can reply later if they want, but my face isn't going to have changed in the intervening period from one they didn't fancy to one they did.

I tend to delete face pics when the message has been read because although the little ticky box says it will be removed after its been looked at anyway, it actually stays for 24 hrs I'm not keen on having my pic 'out there' so to speak.

We always use this option as its there to be used for a reason. As has been already mentioned you can ask if you can see pics again, I'm sure if you explained why any decent couple would show you again

But all you have to remember is whether you thought they were attractive or whether you thought they were a minger. And if you think they're a minger, surely it's easy to just reply and say you're not interested.

What is this 'reply' you're refer to?

Well if people weren't put off about privacy, the thought about people taking screenshots will possibly be an eye opener Have to say this never crossed my mind message wise lmao!

this option is a safety net for anyone who does not like the thought of having their face pics plastered over the site...

they may have a sensitive job or are probably just very cautious...

why should they not be able to remove it after its been looked at just because someone cant wait to have a butchers hook at it, instead of waiting for a more convenient time

one of the best ideas is not to send facepics that include nudity or sexual acts...even if it gets shared, the pic could have come from any site really.

i do it because i don't want my pics hanging around peoples profiles who have no interest in me, if they are interested and reply and we get talking, as a rule i will add them to my friends list then they can look at my pics any time they want, if they don't reply i assume they are not interested so the fact my pics have gone isn't an issue for them

It's a great feature., I always set mine to delete regardless of whether it's face or flange

If you need to show your partner don't open the message & the pic will stay.
