Can't say I'm all that bothered. Some have verified us and some haven't. in fact most haven't. All verifications do (for us anyway) is show you will actually meet and aren't just a fantasiser. A couple of fairly recent veri's is all you need.

I can imagine that if you haven't been meet verified before that may be annoying. However there is nothing to say anyone has to verify anyone else, some people don't like to verify others for a multitude of reasons, their choice at the end of the day.

I guess if you have no veris's it must be annoying.

But now that we have been, it isn't that important if we get a veri or not.

I don't really mind. I displayed some of mine for the first time in ages recently and got an influx of messages as a result, which was quite annoying so I may just hide them again.

I had three meets on here before I was actually verified. It was annoying as I wanted that first one to show I was genuine. It doesn't matter so much now, especially as I have repeat meets with a few people, but I did get a little peeved last year when a couple specifically asked me to verify them, which I did but never received one back.

It depends on what you use the verification system for. Seems like some may want verifying to facilitate further meets. Some seem to use it as a vetting system based on who you have met previously. Whatever the reason, it is simply down to personal choice, as there are some out there who prefer to form their own opinions rather than take someone else's word for it!

I think it has the tendency to make things very transactional!

And it can lead to pissing contests. I get "why haven't you displayed my veri?"

Or when I verify someone, or vice versa I tend to get profile views associated with that person.

I've also have people pressure me to give verifications and I wasn't comfortable doing so, given the apparent importance they placed on them.

They have their place, don't get me wrong. But sometimes they're more trouble than they're worth.

So Many profiles state they want veris, I'm under the impression it's to verify the person is who they say they are? I can't stand details but I'm always happy to verify if I've met someone and they are genuine! Even if I'm ghee going to play with them! I meet many ppl at socials and if I've chatted to them I'm happy to verify them. Its just helping fellow fabbers out! People that don't care probably don't need to verify themselves genuine as much as single men do x

nope, it don't bother me at all, just assume they didn't like you enough to verify you and move on, works for me

As a single man, I appreciate veris, as it shows I'm probably genuine and probably not a timewaster.

Women who have voiced an opinion on this thread seem to be either non-committal or anti. But they would get many messages anyway.
