What would you do?

So basically chatting to another couple(red flags flying as verified from over a year ago via Web cam, and no photo verification) but still thinking they seem lovely enough. They ask and ask about when we're free(once in a blue moon this week we have 4 nights) the male then mentions the mrs is very shy and is a bit nervous about meeting a couple from fab, at which point i(mrs) offer to take his mrs out for a coffee in town (public place, no need to be worried about playing, she could say shes not interested in further meets with me/us if it wasn't a great chemistry which I explained to him) to which he then said well instead of that how bout I meet you both and we can take it from there, I need to make sure I have the right couple for her and that the second meet would be guaranteed a play meet(which it isn't for us unless we meet both on a social ground). Now I've not replied yet but we are gonna say no thanks due to us not wanting to meet just him but the two of them (attraction is a must on both ends for us).

Would anyone do differently to us? Or are we right in the way of thinking?

If I was meeting a couple I would want to meet both turned down a few meets due to the fact it only ever seems to be the guy that wants to meet or chat and they change the conversation when you ask about about the lady

He sounds like hes a single guy or a married guy playing alone who is hoping you both fall for his wonderful charms and agree to play with him alone !!!

I don't do phone calls due to anxiety(I have really bad panic attacks if I haven't met them before) when he said she was really shy I thought what better than a good natter over coffee, but after he said about meeting him instead that was when we decided it was a no go, we would have been happy to meet the pair together with no expectations(which is what I would have thought would happen for the second meet so mr could meet and they could chat - I'm more the chatty one face to face)

Forget it. Block and find someone else. Sounds like it's a man pretending to be couple.

I'd walk away from that if I were you!! Warnings flashing everywhere and I'd hazard a guess you're chatting with a single male who on meet day will turn up telling you his partner fell down the stairs or some other rubbish!!!

Thanks everyone, I just emailed explaining it's either the 4of us for a social meet or the two ladies and wished them luck on fab. Blocked them incase of abuse(happened before)

You've done right thing warning signs all over from him,we often speak to supposedly couples but find sometimes that it's the guy who's only ever on and chatting - don't know maybe our outlook is different but if we're chatting/meeting as a couple then we both chat and like to chat to both parties

That was the original plan when he mentioned that she was really shy and nervous that's when I mentioned about having the ladies meet

We thought we were immune to this kind of thing now, but got chatting to a couple recently and since they'd been socially verified by a couple we knew, we agreed to exchange numbers.

It quickly emerged that he wanted to meet alone (and without her knowledge), and was ridiculously persistent. A message to the other couple confirmed that the female half was real but they had suspicions that she wasn't really into it and had been brought along unwillingly.

Another lesson learnt. He was told where to go.

It seems that people trying to deceive are getting more and more canny (or scheming) in their deceptions.

We've had something similar before where it was the male half doing all the driving on their behalf. He kept mentioning how glad he was that she'd finally relented to letting him arrange a meet.

Generally if the chat turns awkward or pushy then it kills the whole deal for us as we'll just not want to meet.

When something doesn't start to feel right for what ever reason, we walk away.

I'm sure in lots of cases, we've been wrong and all could have been fine. Just prefer to go with our gut instinct rather than take the chance.

Humans have evolved an instinct for a reason - safety, so use it. There is a possibility that they are genuine and have hang ups but it seems unikely. If they, or she, have such hang ups that a girl / girl social meet, or a telephone conversation can't happen, there's not much chance of a good play meet later. Howevr , if you do want to explore the possibility further, you can always say, something like 'whilst we are not saying you are one, you no doubt appreciate that there are some guys on here masquerading as couples. We always ask for proof before chatting further. Hope you understand and are ok with that'.
