Sorry your just going to have to fight it, Plenty of water to bring your sugar level back down but one sure fire way for a hangover cure is not to drink heavily the night before

If you've got them in the house..

Drink rehydration salts, they'll hydrate you and replace various other electrolytes and salts. if not fruit juice cut with water. 2/3 juice 1/3 water. I prefer pineapple. If not fluids . Stay away from caffeine..

It takes a pint of water for your body to process a couple of units of alcohol, why we wee quite a bit when we're drinking,

Your body is dehydrated and it's used various electrolytes processing the alcohol.

Paracetamol if needed and rest.

I've found that a sauna can help to sweat out the alcohol but keep your fluid levels up.

Full fat (the drink, that is

) I find is pretty effective followed by plenty of water. Once that starts to kick in grab some comfort food but not too much of it and you'll be right as rain pretty quickly.

Oh really? Hmmm there was a definite fat theme going on here...

I quite like chocolate milk these days, sounds disgusting and when someone told me about it I couldn't imagine anything worse! It actually works though!

Berocca WITH fizzy aspirin. (NB: It's ok to take paracetamol and aspirin at the same time, but do not take aspirin and ibuprofen at the same time).

Also recommend magic tea: Green Tea with Peppermint (I just put the 2 teabags in together) with a good helping of sugar.

The 3 S's

Shit, Shower and Shave (I am such a gentleman!)

The first one - Evacuate all poisons (alcohol is a poison) out of your system asap to prevent them releasing more toxins into your system.

Shower - Some toxins will lay on the skin through being sweated out and can be reabsorbed, blast yourself for a good long while in the shower.

Shave - ermmm... Thats a bloke thing, makes me feel better and I get rid of bits of kebab from my beard (hopefully you don't have the same issue)

Diarolyt!! It rehydrates you and works wonders. Add a sachet to a pint of water and you'll be grand.

I picked this up from my Scottish friends over a hardcore Hogmanay. If anyone knows their hangover cures, it's our friends north of the border

I have the alcohol tolerance of a 12 year old on woodpecker cider for the first time and I get 2 day hangovers - hence I only drink a lot a few times a year.

No hangover cure works for me as I can't even keep sips of water down. I am pathetic!
