Do you judge a profile based on the age of the photo?

I have just looked at a profile and the pics on show are from 2008-9. Would you contact a couple if their pics were that old?

Yes I do. I know my body has changed over the last year so it would be unfair to give people the wrong impression of my body shape.

Some people do state that an odd pic is from years ago.

I'd be looking to see if they had some recent verifies..

I'd rarely meet someone who's not had a meet within a year, unless I physically speak/see with them at least. I've not had anyone who's outlandishly changed in appearance from their pics though..I believe some would be honest about that.

So if you think that yours has changed enough in 1 year to warrant new pics, imagine how much it might have changed in 7-8 years!

On the mobile site it shows the date the pic was uploaded, but it doesn’t seem to do it on the desktop version for some reason.

Yes it does - you just have to be on their gallery page rather than on an individual photo or profile.

As some said I de be looking to see if they had some recent verifications

Then I de check to see - just try and do anything to make sure it's not fake profile without any contact with anyone

Just certain things I look out for. Up to date pics are nice to see

Alit could happen in a year

As long as there are also recent ones I'm not fussed a lot of people have been on here years and are likely still proud of those photos so keep them, they tell a story of their time on fab

YES! if pics are really old, or profile text is dated then we quickly move on.

Seriously, we were winked by a profile with all pics from 2011 and profile text talking about the ladies volleyball at 2012 Olympics...

even weirder are people who upload several pics of themselves looking different (around the same time)...like why are they posting pics of themselves that don't look like themselves at the time?

Yeah, I think its women that change more, short hair, long hair, blonde, brunette, tattoos, no tattoos etc. Which one will I actually meet?!?!

It does for us too. If the profile photos or verification haven't been updated in quite some time we don't respond.

Blocked a local "couple" as lots of status about him meeting, only him on chat room and the verification and photos were a yr or more older. Fairly convinced they split and he's still running the account

If the profile reads okay and they're within our preferences, we might enter into dialogue and ask for more recent pictures. If they don't have any or won't send any, then we'll withdraw from any further correspondence.

Remember though, we see a lot of pictures deleted then re submitted. Some that may appear more recent because of the dates on them may actually much older
