When we started out, years ago, we had fake names but it got too confusing. We met a couple last year who told us,when we arrived that their profile names were fake and told us their real ones. I got confused very quickly!

Entirely up to the individual really but it didn't work for us

I shorten my name on here, but my name is rather unusual. In fact, if I Google my name (first and surname), I only find things about me...... plus, if I use my full name I always have to repeat it several times before people get it right. Cal is simple enough that even a blonde understands first time

If I know people well enough or have met them in person then I prefer they use my real name. Otherwise it just feels weird. I don't feel like a Howard.

I use my own name too but it's amazing how many people there are that have trouble believing my birth name is Sir Quindigley Muskeratt Jenkinson the 9th esquire???

We use our profile names when swinging, on fab as well as meeting. Swinging is our hobby, our secret life, I keep it all separate from my 'real' life

I go by Courtney, which isn't my real name, but it's close enough not to confuse me. If I meet someone in person I usually still go by this name so I don't confuse myself. On rare occasions, depending on my mood, I'll go by my real name.
