We would like to find out what people's views are on that: is it sexy for a woman to take charge of the situation and show her confidence or does it seem desperate when a lady approaches a man?

Ladies - do you ever do that and how successful are you?

I've done it and he loved it, I think I took myself by surprise though as normally I wouldn't approach a guy (not because I'm arrogant but because at the time I didn't have very much confidence at all). I don't see it as desperate

it wouldn't bother me in the least but unfortunately its quite rare for a woman even to message a guy first let alone ask them to meet for a date but I personally would love it

It's like most things really - it depends on the situation. In some cases it could well be that the woman is desperate.

However, as a general principle I think it's great. I suspect the biggest problem with guys not asking a woman out is that none of us really wants to look like a bit of an idiot and get rejected if we ask someone out and they decline. Men are not always very good at reading the signs women give off so it is more than likely that we haven't twigged that the woman is interested. So, if a woman has the confidence to put it beyond doubt, that's prefect.

It's an attractive trait to see a woman go out and get what she wants. Especially on the very rare occasion that thing is me I think it's why I'm more attracted to women older than me because women my age or younger tend to wait for men to make the first move and if I get a few knock backs it really denta my confidence so it's nice to see a woman make the first move, even if she is not to my taste. It's nice to feel desired by a woman in a world where you're fighting against god knows how many other guys

Why on earth would you see it as 'desperate' when a lady approaches a man? I got fed up of pussyfooting around, waiting for a man to ask me, when I was in my late 20s. Now, if I see a man I'm attracted to, I make the first move. Key words being "a man I am attracted to". There is nothing desperate in asking for what I want. I don't always get what I want, of course, but no-one ever died from a rejection.
