Is there a stigma associated with Viagra?

I read the Little Blue Pills thread with interest. Years ago, when they first came out, I seem to recall there was a stigma associated with taking Viagra or similar pills. ( I could have imagined it.) Is that the case today?

I haven't read the other thread but the only time we met a man who had taken it despite not needing it I got a bit bored. I personally wouldn't stigmatise a person for using it if they needed it.

. Some women are a bit insulted if it is used and others are very pleased with the end result . Those ladies who disapprove like to think that they have done the work , not the pill.

You Dont Need to Know, right now

I prefer not to have sex with men who have taken artificial erection-builders. If they don't fancy me without artificial help, I don't want them to resort to chemicals, just so they can have sex. Also, I find that men who have taken Viagra last "too long" for me, or else don't reach ejaculation point at all.

That said, it's not a "stigma" - Viagra definitely has a place for men who have a medical need for it.

Just a question slightly off subject but have any regular users of Sildenafil Citrate, tried any of the alternatives to Viagra such as Kamagra, Suagra, or Tandefil.

If so how effective were they and what if any side effects.

I use the pills as "insurance" and is has nothing at all to do with the attractiveness or otherwise of the lady in question.

I wouldn't be insulted if a man had a genuine medical need but as a woman who isn't interested in being penetrated for hours on end or repeatedly I'm not interested in men who take it when they don't need to, it's not disapproval it's boredom.

Absolutely no chance that they are genuine for that price and if fake, you have no way of knowing what crap has been added.

(Unless of course they are stolen genuine)

Not if you get them on NHS prescription from your gp, though it comes out to more like 30p a pill...

I have asked this before but if you don't need it why take it? If I don't have a pain I don't take a painkiller or is it more complicated than that?

If someone has a medical condition that means they need to take viagra then surely there is no stigma.

People take them to "improve" their performance. This only usually becomes a sticky issue when guys then use it for their own gratification rather than than of their partner.

Hence the comments on other related threads about guys banging on for ever and expecting to spend all night at a "quickie gand bang".

They only work if the guy is sexually aroused so if he doesn't fancy u or find you attractive then it's still a no go

Don't mind the lasting a little longer as last ng as it ain't 3 hours

If they had no sexual interest in you they wouldn't get an erection even with viagra so I wouldn't worry in that regard, if it's hard he's interested trust me!

I should think that using the medication to improve performance or fight off nerves was quite a common use. I am sure I am not the only male that wouldn't want the stress or worry of disappointing my partner, especially that as a single male you may only have one chance to impress.

However, that aside, an interesting question arises (excuse the pun) just how long do women want their man to last?

The answer to that is as individual as each woman. I personally find if a man is focussed on the penetration part of sex he tends to forget the rest for me the build up is more important and I don't want prolonged penetration but other women will want a long stayer

I'm one of those who don't want men banging on for hours. "A few minutes longer than me" would be my answer, i.e. no more than 15-20 minutes.

And thanks, whoever up there ^^^ said that Viagra can't stimulate an erection in a man who doesn't already have sexual desire ... I feel a lot better now

That's ok

Viagra is used for other conditions as well (one called pulmonary hypertension for example) and the people on it for that don't walk round with a permanent stiffy trotting round asda for example, it's only when they are sexually excited that it has an affect in that area
