I have been in a couple of situation where months down the line I've found out they was in a relationship.

One I got a phone call off the girlfriend...he still asks me to meet now(there not together anymore).. I just say no... and in the other I received messages asking how I knew the guy. I was honest with her. No idea what happened between them after that.

Twice now I have received telephone calls from partners. And once was it my 'fault' as I did know that he was married

Yes, one can have their name read out in court as a co-defendant. Unlikely but can happen and as mentioned earlier, did happen

But the biggest worry is a wife who feels aggrieved enough to start doing harm to a woman she believes destroyed her marriage

And if all that does not happen, then one is basically used as an unpaid hooker

He will be clock-watching, always 'discreet', distant and hardly ever be able to meet on a weekend evening and stay the night. Add to that, last-minute cancellations and frankly, for me, the hassle is just not worth it

I've met a few married men. Never have I experience the wronged spouse treatment. It probably helps that I meet men who are operating what I think is a suitable level of discretion, and generally they, never mind their wives, don't know my name or phone number or where I live.

Infinitely less stressful than a couple of the bad experiences I've had with overly persistent and clingy single men. I've also only ever been cancelled on at the last minute or stood up by single men. The married men I've met have an appreciation of what's involved in arranging time and we don't waste each other's.

It works for me.

Exactly. It is not a moral judgement for me neither. He is cheating on his wife and if she finds out, that is something which they will need to resolve amongst themselves. Unfortunately, things are never that black and white and the third party gets dragged into the unpleasantness

I am interested in who I can have more fun with, the way I wish to, without repercussions. And a married man cheating on his wife is far from the ideal candidate

I wouldn't meet an attached guy at all, on principle. I wouldn't contribute to another person's duplicity...but further adding to that, what if his wife found out and showed up/kicked off...its just another reason why it's a bad idea. I've been the one cheated on...It ain't fun.

Long-term fuck buddies? No, I'd want to check in with the wife. Any form of emotional engagement with a married person gives me the squicks and for me meeting the same person more than twice and chatting to them fairly often online gets me an emotional bond.
