Repoeted someone for racial abuse yesterday cause I was adviced to and nothing got done about it so what's the point in asking us to report something when nothing it done about it is a sham

you should have given them time to look into it ........ as theres two side thay have to see ...... you maybe on new name looking at this ........ why i am posting ..

It's a very serious issue so admin will need time to get all the facts before taking any action.

i know from others who have ask them too about other thing it take a time ... and things like this need sorting ..

I don't believe anyone from admin would tolerate any kind of abusive behavior once given the opportunity to investigate it.

Fabs approach is both proactive (by setting down rules) and reactive (by investigating and taking action based on evidence) I'm not sure what else they can do.

If the Op is still here under another name, did you give sufficient time for the full process to be carried out?

OP remember that this site is run by a swinging couple as a hobby. Because the site is free, the site owners don't employ any other Admins, so there is no Admin rota.

Sometimes Admin responds within seconds to any reported issue, if they're online at the time. Other times, it can be a few hours before they pick up the issue.

I agree with other posters who suggest that you should have given it more time, and I hope that calm reflection will lead you to come back to the site.

You are right, Admin don't tolerate any sort of racial abuse, and once proven the person is normally given a swift kick up the jacksie...but there has to be evidence and not just someones say so.

I have reported things to admin and found within a few hours that those profiles are gone..

I think that the admin do a great job.. but as you say.. you need to give it time.

I must admit I've reported things to admin too and it's been sorted but you need evidence if not then it's hearsay. It's like me saying oh that katie called me an ugly tranny it's my word against hers. Anyway the OP as gone so nothing to say but only replied to this so newbies can see that such nasty behaviour will not be tolerated.

Totally agree admin were brilliant when i had problems with someone stealing my profile and a single guy posting my photos on his profile.

Im sure its far from easy for them to deal with things immediately but in my case it happened very quickly.

I reported a member for trying to get me to join his Escort Agency. I very rudely and inconsiderately sent a sharp mail again to the owners because he was still onsite a few hours later. Admin were very patient with me and said his accoutn was in the process of being closed and thats exactly what happened. But I still feel a bit naughty for demanding instant action and appearing to be foot stamping. I now know the virtue of patience.

I think this is a brilliant site and Im privileged to be a member. Lets have a round of applause for the site owners

It's the nature of the Internet that we all expect instant gratification at all times - witness any number of "just be patient" responses to the regular threads on here from single fellas wondering what they're doing wrong when they've been onsite for fifteen minutes and still not been invited to a FFFM with some nympho pornstar brewery heiresses.

Maybe (and no criticism here!) Admin could set up an auto reply for complaints etc. that just says summat along the lines of '"we've received your message and will deal with it, bear in mind we are a small operation and this my take some time but we care about your business etc etc..." Apologies if you already do this, of course!

thing is most admin on the site are probably carefully selected unpaid volunteers (given the site is more or less free)

said admin also have real lives, and whatever they do outside of their spare time,

It is no wonder it takes time to get a response

If you are that demanding I'm glad you've gone - although admin can't now check anything with you so well done, the alleged racist wins by default.

Racist remarks are utterly unacceptable in any circumstances, but admin need time to investigate and sort them! If they took everyones word on something without checking then half of us wouldn't still be on here.

We've posted in detail in forums before about how we handle reports. We need to be fair both to the person who is making the report and the person who is reported. Perhaps someone could dig out that reply and copy + paste here?

Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.

On the rare occassions when I reported issues to the admins/mods, I found them responded in a timely manner.

Peeps got to be realistic about time scale.

Admins and mods do not look after FAB full time. They have lives outside FAB too!

In addition, one has to have objective evidence for the admins and mods to go on. They can't work on thin air and hear-says!

Admin do one of a few things when they deal with reports as the above answer from Admin says.

People won't always get chucked off the site.

As these things have to be investigated then it isn't fair to keep mentioning them on a forum.

Just report the PM's and let Admin do what they do.

I'm not complaining about admin my point being all messages can't be investigate asap so if that person is still on here then that maybe the reason. My other point is if your still unhappy contact admin again but I'm sure they have hundreds of messages to get though so bd patient x

You won't get a reply as mentioned by Admin. You don't pay so people get chucked up if you report them, every report has to be checked and Admin deal with them in a number of ways which is all explained further up the thread.
