As a fetish I agree he had an expectation of 'participation' by those arriving at the club and a few people did step over him, though probably not for your reasons. However it was innocuous enough in its format, didn't involve any dynamic, communication or reciprocal action/reaction. I think you are over-egging the 'force' aspect. His kink was very much a passive one and I said, some people stepped over, maybe for the same reasons as yourself or maybe something completely different. Either way the events organisers took the view it was fine.
