you are above average for a woman (5'3") and he is above average for a man (5'10") so technically you are both tall

Oh, and average heights are increasing, thank fuck. I work next to a university and they all seem taller than the "grown ups" about the place. I'll just have to start going for younger men when I'm about 50, then there will be plenty of tall bods to choose from.
