New respect for the single ladies

My husband and I have set up a single profile for me for meeting alone. I think it's pretty specific and well written, like most of the single female profiles here. Well. What a lot of shite messages in the inbox. (Don't get me wrong, we have gotten some real gems as well that we are conversing with and following up on) but wowser. No wonder some of the ladies get irate and read the riot act in their profile - I guess these guys don't realise that unless they write something intelligent that actually addresses what the lady is looking for, their chances of a reply are exactly zero because they are just one more boring drip in a very big bucket. And well done to the guys out there that do read and send intelligent replies - you're rarer than you realise. Kate

Filters have helped a bit as far as knocking out the MM couples and those above and below my preferred age range, but the quantity of mail is still overwhelming. I can't even imagine what the women in their 20's and 30's with a slamming body must have to deal with!

LOL well I figured they got more mail but this is ridiculous LOL - my husband says he cannot BELIEVE he and I met online (meaning that he was successful) having seen the mountain of responses that a single female profile gets - i told him he snared me with his MIND first and the rest is history.

Sometimes it can be really degrading and far from an ego boost. I still get the "wow, you sound amazing, I love you profile, I'd love to meet you" which just proves they haven't even read it LOL

I agree! It's insulting really that they don't give enough of a shit to read before writing their cut and paste drivel. I just hit delete.

It happens in clubs too

As somebody who has swung as a couple and as a single female, on here and in clubs its quite shocking how different some guys act towards you when you have no guy by your side

My two thoughts...

1) use the filters provided and do the messaging yourself..

2) the sh*t messages are a filter in itself,

I'll await the folk to come along now saying how they spoil it for the genuine on here..
