Hi all, I've been surprised by the genuine (and not so genuine) messages from young men who are into 'older women'. Whether you like a younger guy or not, isn't it difficult to meet for a social with a guy half your age! I'd feel like his mother! What do you guys think/do? Xxx

Yea back to his parents house, no thanks, only met him because I wanted to see what it felt like and where the 'age is just a number' brigade were coming from. Will stick to my own age, more comfortable and right

The fact that you're asking suggests you have at least some interest in a younger man. The issue appears to be the social stigma attached to the same. Why not go for it? As long as you like the person just have fun!

I'd love to meet an older woman. Unfortunately, the few women I have suggested a meet to suffer the same predicament and worry about meeting a younger guy. It's so frustrating as it's difficult to meet an older woman off fab

I guess of course these a curiosity but I'm very happy with men my age. I wanted to know how much the stigma bothers other women. I'm surprised at how hesitant I am to be honest. Thanks for your thoughts xx

My wife is 20 years younger than me , and we have met lots of people half my age or even younger .

We don't really do socials as such , so I've never been bothered by the age gap to be honest .

When we have been in pubs or coffee shops for an introductory meet with people half my age , I haven't felt awkward though , but I guess the age gap the other way round is more socially acceptable ?

Yes I agree, if the guy is older i don't think people pay much attention. It is tricky though.

Now I'm 32 it's less of a problem but as a younger lad in my early twenties on S/H (is that site even going still?) I found it was much easier to meet a couple when the age difference was 15+ years and almost impossible to meet a single lady with that age difference.

I wouldn't have thought a social meet would be an issue (how would random passers by know why you are meeting) and given most things go in London I doubt anyone would bat an eye lid!!

Whether the age difference was 15 years or 15 minutes work colleagues are always gonna tease when a lad is alone with a girl so I wouldn't take it personal, just be cross with lad culture!!!!

It's nice you are being so frank about it; this is what this site is all about. It's most young men's fantasy to be with an older woman, it certainly is mine and not just for the physical side of things but because I have a more mature mind anyway.

I always meet for a drink first and the thought of going to a pub with a guy half my age is very off putting

I think I would look stupid and God knows what people would think

And yes that does bother me

I'm a mum to my kids and other young kids i'll be designated carer for them too. But grown adults capable of looking after themselves are not within my spectrum of mum or carer and can pick up their own underpants and put them in the wash thankyou very much.

Some of the older women I've met for socials have on occasion eluded to them feeling slightly weirded out by the age gap but then when they have I've always gone that extra mile to help them feel more comfortable, however on the flip side I've met some really get a kick of being seen out with a younger guy

I guess what I'm saying is that you have try something before truly knowing that it's not for you x

It isn't difficult at all if they're mature in their outlook if they aren't its very awkward on both sides because there's no common ground. As for what other people think how on earth do they know the relationship between the two of you and the intention behind your meeting?

If you go with the attitude that you'll feel like his mother then you will, go with the attitude that you're a mature, sexy woman and enjoy

Doesnt bother me being older. Previous bf and current bf are way way younger than me. Never had a comment from anyone about it apart from current BF winding me up and teasing me over it. He's played with much older than me so I doubt age is really any issue at all.

I don't have a problem with younger men, the sex is great. The conversation is often not so that's one downside. But if I see a sexy lad who's 10 years younger, and everything else lines up, I'll have him over for sex. Clubs are really great for nsa fun - with the added advantage that you get to see potential playmates before committing and there is never the problem of a no-show. There's never any pressure to perform either, sometimes just watching can be fun.

I met a guy of 23 when I was 40. We had been chatting via face cams in the chatrooms for a while. We met for sexy fun. In the morning we went to one of my local cafes for brunch. I think I was lucky though, as he was a very mature guy & we are still in touch here & away from here almost 4yrs later. I've been to pubs with much younger men in central London. Very busy places and no one takes any notice. People of all ages from offices often go for drinks together. I've been for meals with men younger than me and no one stared. I've kissed younger men in pubs. I've booked into hotels with younger men in their 20s. I don't care what people think,if they think anything at all.

My attitude is,he's a person,I'm a person; age,colour,nationality doesn't make a difference,I don't get a kick out of it,I enjoy him for who he is,not his age and I have never felt like a mother to anyone. If a man acted like a child I wouldn't agree to meet him,that stands for all ages.

I often meet much younger guys and always start with a social. I don't have any children of my own so I don't have that mother/child emotional connection. I never worry about what anyone else thinks and when I'm with them they get my undivided attention so I don't even think I'd notice if anyone gave us funny looks.

A person can be physically younger but mentally mature and it's also sadly true the other way round!

I look a lot younger then my age and a few years ago I went away for the weekend with a Woman 10 years older then me, I did notice a few people looking and to be honest it did bother me at first but as we talked and enjoyed the night I soon forgot about it, I didn't bring the subject up but I think she had a good time as well so that's all that matters

Hope i'm not intruding here but this attention from young men is the same for me. Obviously you discount those that can only grunt or have a shilling missing but why not. Consenting adults and all that.

Just had a 3 month liason with an 18yo, he learnt a lot and I had a real good time. Once his confidence was found he was off but we still meet occasionally.

There is no down side that I can see.

I Think, both sides shouldnt worry about things like - what people gonna think, see or even say. You both are enjoying your life, and both are doing things that you like. If others arent like minded that doesnt mean you should feel any diffrent because of that. Personaly i think that older women are more fun and way easier to talk to. Whether the age difference was 15 years or 15 minutes work colleagues are always gonna tease when a lad is alone with a girl so I wouldn't take it personal, just be cross with lad culture!!!!

As a 24 year old man, I'm not actually sure if I count as being a youth any more! However, I would much prefer to meet with an older lady than one my age - depending upon the person of course. I would imagine if you look beyond the stats on the profile (name and age!) then physical age doesn't make a difference!

That's what I'm hoping anyway haha

I think it very much depends on you. I tend to meet younger men and have a great time. I love the irreverent sense of humour, broad minded attitude and jolly good sex! I think of us both as adults really. I also tend to meet the same fellas more than once. Some fellas I've been meeting regularly since I joined here 3 years ago. It's wise to take things with a pinch of salt, but I'm pretty sure they enjoy me as much as I enjoy them. Why not have a go and see what you think?

A few years back I spent 6 months declining the messages from a very hot 21 year old guy (I was 41) on the grounds he was too young but one night I gave in and agreed to meet. Was I glad he was persistent - hell yes. 2.5 years of amazing sex and he was far more emotionally mature than most of the older guys I'd met and knew how to treat a woman too. An amazing young guy beautiful inside and out. Sadly he moved 400 miles away but we have stayed in touch as friends. Do I regret it? definitely not my only regret is wasting the first six months

Socials/meets for me being a younger male with mature females are a lot of fun as long as everyone feels comfortable.

I usually let them decide a place to meet so they can feel at ease, regarding someone saying about not feeling comfortable because work colleagues seeing them.

I've only found 20/21 year olds to be nervous. After that they're very confident and skillful.

Don't think just cos a young guy wants to meet an older lady that he won't know what he's doing. Its not true, we've met some very confident young guys who know how to not only treat her with respect but please her beyond what we expected.

If a young guy is messaging you give him a chance just like you would an older guy. If you click with the him and you think he sounds like he could please you.... Then go for it, what you got to lose

After only meeting older guys for a long time, we gave in to a very persistent much younger man and it was amazing!

The stamina and eagerness made a very fun afternoon indeed!

Unfortunately he turned out to be quite flaky and a repeat performance was never to take place

It changed our mind in age limits though...

Going for younger men I think you can train them to how you want. They are more open to trying new things. If you meet in a quiet location your be fine. Iv been with a few older women when I was 18-24. The women was 35plus. Didn't bother me. If your that worried maybe have phone contact and a meet up in a car publicly and if you feel 100% then a private meet. Best of luck

Personally I don't mind the older Lady, they tend to know exactly what they want and how they want it, not to say younger don't, but sometimes it's good to have someone who is more confident in there skin because they realise it is what it is and the best you can do is enjoy it.

I'm a young lad and young lads are confident but can be a little shy at first I have found it more relaxing and easier meeting an older couple rather than a single women.
