"why not agree to meet them somewhere close to your home and once you are satisfed they are who they say they are, then take them to your house. That way you are not giving your address out in advance." I agree with Wendy on this one

"Friends of ours, who have now left the scene, were turned down after they told their prospective meet that they lived in a council house. And yes, it was the reason for the rejection because they received an email that said Mrs "couldn't possibly do it in a council house" Hows that for brassnecked snobbishness? " Does that mean no hope for me too then? I was born on a council estate but it don't make me a commoner :p

We had a meet not turn up after giving out our address (not there any more) and Jo was quite worried about it afterwards. Didnt hear anything from the couple for several weeks. Once we did hear from them our mind was at ease over it. From then on though, we meet people somewhere nearby, hotel car park, petrol station etc, also makes it easier for them as our house aint the easiest to find! S.

"a note to the op I have had the same as well said where to meet and no show so it is a bit disheartening when that happens" Phew!!! thought it was just us, we had three meets arranged last week in the hope that at least one would turn up but....yes you got it NOT a single one turned up. disheartened isn't the word... dead pissed off is more it. mind you we'd be well knackered if all of them had turned up 3 nights in a row.
