When a new single female joins....

One for the guys really (or anyone looking to meet single females).

So I have just seen a new single female join in my area. She has been photo verified and her profile is to my liking.

I'm pretty sure that regardless of what I write or whether she likes my profile, she will be inundated with hundreds of messages meaning the chance of my message being missed will be higher, as will the risk she will just get overwhelmed and ignore everyone or leave the site.

What do you do in this circumstance? Personally I would rather leave it a few days and see if she is still here. Is that something many men do or does everyone just go ahead and message anyway?

Give it at least 10 days. Stick her on the hotlist and see what happens. Trust me, it will be bonkers for her at the moment. I nearly deleted my profile altogether as the messages etc were quite literally overwhelming. I felt like a little deer that had inadvertently stumbled into the lion enclosure at Longleat!

I've had zero luck meeting a woman or a couple from here so my advice is quite possibly null and void but I tend to add them to my hotlist, give it a week and then message them, preferably with a clever/daft/funny subject e.g. "How much does a polar bear weight?"

...Enough to break the ice.

I don't think it necessarily means nothing but I agree the system is not fool proof. I just feel a bit more confident they are genuine when photo verified.

I would hotlist and wait. If she doesn't hide / delete within the 1st few weeks you might be in with a chance

If it's a profile that interests me enough I'll hot list it, that way any status updates show of ... When it's quietened down a bit I'll maybe drop them a message, sometimes they've altered or set their filters and then I can't .. not a bad thing saves me a wasted message.

I've a few on my hot list and they've not logged on since creating the profile .. must get round to deleting them.

I think I hit about 1000 messages after 2 days of being on the site and that was when I wasn't photo or meet verified and I only had 3 pictures! It's totally overwhelming, I didn't know what to do! Definitely leave it abit and see how she gets on

Same! I didn't even have pictures, and was averaging 80 messages an hour. Lol.

Looking back, if past HLF had been seen by a cute guy, I definitely wouldn't be able to see your message in the hundreds a day....

I'd say leave it a couple of weeks. Let her get her bearings.

When I joined I thought it might be a good idea to sit back for a bit and figure out how it all worked first. So I had my filters on from day one and only gradually relaxed them as I got my head around it.

If a new profile pops up I like I often pop them on my hotlist with a view to maybe messaging them at some later date.

Hotlist let's me see if they become verified or if they add pics and see updates etc in the meanwhile..sometimes you get a feel for a profile a tiny bit that way to.

Just where I need to be.

When I joined immediately got messages coming in. About 150 in space of an hour, worse when I uploaded a picture.Unless you are aware of have to hide and use filters it is crazy. I just deleted and waited a few weeks before venturing out of hiding.

Dosen't matter to me whenever she's new or not, if she looks and sounds hot to me then I'll message her, and if no reply then i leave it at that and move on.

I browse every couple of weeks and I think the 'new' icon must stay for a week at minimum so...

This is exactly what I do (and why my hotlist is quite long!). I hate to be contributing to someone feeling overwhelmed and wondering if they made the right decision to come on here.
