I would never mix my real life with sex, could get messy, if it did do you really want that in your real life? At least if it's somebody off here you don't ever have to see them again

I keep this side of my life very separate from real life. Outside of being on here, in a club or a swingers party, I don't think about sex with others and if I was ever approached my response would not be positive.

it's how i got started (so to speak!) and this sounds awful but it was after a funeral (can't believe i said that out loud) where i met a family friend i hadn't seen since the 1980s. He was in his 60s, introduced me to his gf who was early 40s and they were just back from somewhere in france and there was a fair bit of innuendo. my fiance had dumped me for someone half my age a few months earlier and i was having an awful time on internet dating and trying not to be sad at the (distant relative's) funeral, so suggested they tell me more. and they invited me to his flat to tell me more...

There are thousands of potential play mates, there's a small number of people in my inner sanctum. I wouldn't embarrass, disrespect them/me by being so inappropriate and risk losing a friendship.

An original way of potentially outing yourselves.

For the majority swinging with strangers who may in time become friends is the preferred route.

I would not want to watch any of my friends play it would definitely compromise our friendship.

If you're determined to ask someone I would do it when drinking together, then you can laugh it off as a joke whatever the reaction.

I was asked once if kestrels was part of my social circle. I did ask her to say it again just so I didn't make an arse of myself but once she clearly said kestrels I just laughed and said yes. It's not something that non swingers would know about so it was very subtle way of asking.

Over 10 years ago, before I got into the scene, I was chatting to a female work colleague. At that time I had a new gf and we were talking when she asked if my new girlfriend was into "wife swapping".

I replied 'I doubt it' and she went on to say that her and her hubby had been asked by a couple they play badminton with but they don't play badminton with them anymore.

I never really thought about it much at the time but subsequently wonder if I missed a trick as she was certainly someone I would have been receptive to.

Never approached someone 'outside' the scene myself.

A few of our friends know what we get up to. We're pretty open with our close friends, sharing pics and club tales

One friend couple are always asking questions about the club's and what they're like so it's likely they're going to visit some time.

We've found the best way is to just casually mention swinging if the conversation heads that way and gauge their reaction. We mentioned the dunes at gran Canaria to some friends the other day and the seemed a bit shocked that things like that went on. Took it on further
