why keep them

Ok im sure this would of been asked before,But why is it i will send a message it will be read then thats it.

I dont get a reply and it doesnt get deleted .Im not complaining i just dont understand,so can someone help me.

the same reason you don't delete every text message on your phone after you read it.

9 times out of 10 its so other half can read it when she's on. we don't both get on here at the same time often.

Maybe they're keeping it for future reference? Perhaps when they fancy a meet they'll scan through all the received messages and contact those they like the sound of.

On the other hand they might be one of those sorts that never deletes anything and just lets all their messages build up. In that case you probably don't stand a chance!

I only delete my messages every now and again

I only ever block delete i dont delete as i read them

dont know why its just the way i do things, makes no odds to me if it sits in my inbox or not and i feel no need to delete messages straight away

Yeah I'm a bit of a slacker in that department too. I generally reply to people who have made the effort to read my profile and send a decent message.

I sometimes reply to the one liner "fancy a shag" messages with a polite no thanks. Other times not so much. I either delete them or just ignore them and they fall off the page. Then I get all ruthless and do a "delete all" thing.

No, personally, I immediately delete the 'don't stand a chance' ones. If I've read and not deleted, I mean that I AM thinking about it!

the way I see it

deleated and blocked ==you blew it

read + deleated = your not for her/him

read and still there = still in with a chance

a reply even a no thanks = you got lucky

a reply and wants to chat = you hit gold dust

A message that grabs me I'll respond to straight away. If I've read it and not deleted my goldfish memory has been distracted and I intend replying.

Surprised people track their sent mail so closely!

i know i never get that either!

i can honestly say if i send a message i never check to see if its been deleted etc

And i wouldnt dream of re sending a message to anyone who didnt reply to me like some men do to me, that just puts me off a person more not gives them a better chance

if you get a reply you get a reply, if not i've usually forgot who i mailed anyway afterf a couple of days lol
