We know this isn't tripadvisor (can you believe what is generally on there anyway??) but, can anyone recommend any entertaining venues for either a little adult amusement (cinema, club, theatre etc) or perhaps, where to avoid??

Stay on the boatel old converted ship next to train station me and a mate was there last year and year before both times having a naughty time with fellow residents

We went to Sameplace last year (twice) loved it there. Very relaxed place that can and did get naughty. Worth a visit.we are back there in 2 weeks and can't wait

The website for the Botel is still showing it at the other side of the river at the NDSM dock? It moved from beside Central station some years ago. There's a free ferry across but if I remember rightly the last time we stayed it didn't go back to the Botel in the early hours but finished directly across from central and you had to wait for a minibus to take you the rest of the way.

Dortmund (Germany) might travel!

Are there any sex shows in Amsterdam that are actually sexy and erotic? We went to Casa Rossa and Moulin Rouge and although they weren't sleezy and seedy - which was good - the sex was rubbish! No one attractive and they all looked bored.

Now I know it's a job so of course they're bored, but entertainers are meant to pretend at least...

Basically we'd like to see some live sexy porn. We get that at swinger clubs sometimes, would be nice to see it in a show though.

try paradise club...midweek for lots of guys or sat/sun for cpls, 5 mins in a taxi from centraal station! went to fata morgana last year 100E to get it but wow it was worth it incs all your drinks and food (not sure why you would want a 3 course dinner in a sex club but hey?) check their website....a bit out of town but maybe the best club we have been to for size layout etc...went last year on valentines and there was approx 150 cpls there!

a ideal hotel is hotel cc just on the edge of the redlight...too much hassle getting a ferry all the time!

Blue light has TV/TS

Ended up in blue light by sheer accident as its not my thing.

But the group of american guys looking round trying to fight each other through the door, soon came marching back out once they relaised that they wanted red light, not blue light

Go to Fata Morgana Saturday night great crowd good sounds even better play. Food and drink inclusive as much ad you wish bearing in mind you there to play (hehehe)get there around eight leave 3am perfect!! Then fun4two Sunday set up the same starts at 4pm leave 2am happy days horny nights Monday crash day

Do what no other brit has done before, get off and grand central station and walk for about 1.5 km dont look at the red light district and coffee shops either side of you until you reach museumplein, its a lot nicer and where you'll meet real dutch other than all the brits and other tourists etc who haven't made it that far.

Thank you to all who have taken the time to share their thoughts and experiences, you have certainly given us food for thought, and a venue or two to possibly avoid too.

We certainly expect to get away from the usual tourist spots of the RLD, but after a week of culture visiting other areas of the country, we thought it remiss not to consider taking a look at the sexier side of the City.
