I have a friend who is another large woman and going out to eat with her is a nightmare as she doesn't like anything with sauces, anything that's boiled, anything that's green...she's a very fussy eater and watches what she eats...but is a size 22. My size 8 daughters and size 10 friends eat anything and enjoy their food and great fun to go out for a meal with.

To call a slender woman a stick insect is not nice...rather immature actually. Name calling is never acceptable.

Forgive him Sassymiss. What I think he was trying to say is that is that is an airbrushed ideal that we see in magazines and on TV which some men want and some women pressure themselves to be. Whereas he wants enjoys a break from the "norm!" A real woman is someone who is comfortable in their own body and doesn't give a s**t what anyone thinks.

I wasn't talking about preferences: it was you "real women" that rankled a bit, because we're all "real women", not tvs (no offense to the tvs ).

Saying someone is a stick insect salad eater is as offensive as some people saying no ooompah loompahs, fatty Arbuckle types etc...you can have a preference without insulting others...it shouldn't be that difficult to do!

The same way you were able to articulate that without causing offense proves my point. You can have a preference, say what you like, but is there a need to insult others on the way?

i agree i think he is being nice i have spent a long time worrying about my weight and went to extreme measures to lose. i now can barely eat a thing and still havent ended up a size 10 was loads bigger but i am what i am i do appreicate the men who try to make me feel comfertable in my size.

i think its amazing how u get TVs who look really great as a woman u should give some tips to the women on here that no matter how much make up they wear they look like a man, build, face, everything so manly. you could make a living teaching some of the women on here how to actually look less butch
