Would you not prefer to play from about 7pm on Friday / Saturday nights or Sunday from noon?

or is it just me ?

We do agree with you, sometimes it is fun to go somewhere late, but quite often it is a total bugger for logistics. Most clubs are at least 90 minutes away from us, so it means a hotel or a ridiculously late drive.

I guess it has been tried by clubs but maybe not.

I think a lot of clubs open late because that's how people like it. Even when they open at 9 lots of people don't come until after 10:00/10:30 and things don't get started until even later than that.

Marc and I are too tired to stay up until 3 or 4 in the morning. It can get tedious at times. Sometimes we end up just playing with each other and leaving before things really even get started.

It probably has been tried in the past without success (swingers going to the pub then turning up at a club etc) every entertainment activity has changed with the times excepts our swinging clubs (busyist times I've seen a club is 2pm on a Sunday in Amsterdam)

We have been to rios during the day, it's busy, but could not recommend as needs a good clean

We always think this. Love the clubs that are open all day... As otherwise we find that most people don't bother playing till after 11... We go to play.. And while we aren't bothered if it's just with each other... We find the clubs that dont open till 9, you often get little or no playing till after 11.

We much prefer late, we like clubs that open until 4/5 in the morning it's not unusual for us to get to a club at 10/11

Stretford

We started in clubs at Sunday afternoon sessions and have always done afternoons. We very rarely do an evening/night session. Our experience of late sessions is everyone drinking till an hour before closing and then a mad dash (or not) for the playrooms. Afternoons seem much more relaxed, you can play several times and still be home early enough for the next day not to be destroyed by a late night.

we often dont get to a club until well after 9 - maybe this is because they are often last minute unplanned visits and go when a meet cant make it or friends arent free - if we arranged to meet people there we would go earlier as we have done when its been a fab social at our fave club - too many people to chat to and not enough time if you get there late

We've often thought the same thing. Our preference is for nightclub style clubs and these never get started until very late in the evening. Our ideal would be a place that got busy around 8 or 9pm.

Only one club we've been to kicked off before we had even got our coats off... bi kink!

It would be nice to start early and finish earlier... or go on late if it was just sooo filthy and fun.

Another question... why do all clubs serve up pork pie at 1am? Is this the food of swingers? If so I will keep an eye out in the food aisles of our local Waitrose for pork pie shoppers

I've been to quest on a weekday night before which opens at 7. Even then most people arrive after 830. I guess it's all down to people working, having to get home, washed, changed and grabbing a bite to eat before coming. So I could only really see it working on a sat/sun

We're hopeless late at night, much prefer earlier.

That's why we tend to only go to Bristol Gardens in Brighton, afternoon of nakedness and socialising then, after 6pm when the single men go, it gets very busy in the play rooms.

Finished by 10pm and home at a reasonable time.

We might well do the same, though we'll wait for the warmer weather. Last time we went there (on a Saturday) it was bloody freezing.
