What is the point in writing a profile as it would seem that about 80% of people don't even bother reading them

Yes I get sick of people saying that or where you from when it's clear to see and I get so many one liners even tho it says I'll block them

Always read the profile. Makes no odds. Same as no pic no reply. I will continue to send face pic only and read profiles

Yeah this especially annoys us also. It's even more frustrating when we receive a one liner and we look and the couple actually look like people we would like to meet. But we just think if they can't be bothered to make an effort then we can't either

It pisses us off a lot, we know if someone has read our profile just like if you know someone's read yours it's only a few sentences or couple of paragraphs, just read through the bloody things !!!! Your more likely to reply if you know people have made an effort.

From somebody that does read profiles, I still find the majority of my messages are deleted without the recipient having read my profile.

You write the profile for your own enjoyment and for those out there that take the time to read it and respond.

A lot of people use a code word within the profile text so you can see straight away if they have taken the time to read it. You could try that or alternatively change your filters and then you can do the looking to see who takes your fancy.

I read them. if I like the profile, I craft my message in response to what I have read. If there's nothing much in the profile I'm disappointed but if there's enough to attract me (nice figure, common interests, pic, etc) I still send detail about myself.

Sadly, it still makes little difference to the number of replies I receive. We all know women are bombarded with messages on here. I can see why they wouldn't bother having a profile.

In fact, if I was female I would block everyone from contacting me.
