Why is it so hard?

I mean honestly, iron, it's so hard.

When I first bought my house, I had to remove two original cast iron fireplaces.

They were bloody heavy things to move around too, but yeah, iron is such a hard element.

Lead is much softer.

Iron isn't as hard as steel tho, steel is much much harder.
