Been let down again - which on the whole is fine - shit happens but what really gets me goat is when the other party doesnt bother to let u know they cant make it. Because u cant name and shame how do u warn other members of a potential problem ? - yeah i know u can block them and report them but not the same. I dont mind meeting non-verified people cos how else r they going to get verified ?? plus meet quite a few nice peeps that way. Also not all verified people are genuine - believe me. Just wondered what everyone else thinks ? a big red cross by their name - now that mite discourage them from mucking about hehe x

Yes its very annoying, especially as most of us on here are understanding when a meet can't take place because of unforseen circumstances, provided we are told. All it takes is a call or text. To just not bother contacting at all is very bad form.

Take heart though that the majority on here are genuine and don't mess people about.

There is no excuse for potential meets to be so f***ING rude as to not have the decency to contact you with just a quick note to say they can't meet,

We've had it done to us and its very annoying especially when you gone to some expense too of getting a sitter and traveled to a meet fuel is so expensive these days,

We all understand that real life does sometimes get in the way of fun meets and some times meets have to be cancelled we accept that and understand it as we have children and have in the past had to cancel but we let the other party know and try and re arrange, but to cancel without notice or explanation is the height of bad manners and is getting to be the norm with some people not just on this site but others too.

quite agreed Jeppers it is becoming more frequent occurance - i very rarely get a weekend to myself and feel so let down when someone doesnt appear on my doorstep - i like to make the most of my free time - be at least another month before i get another kid-free weekend - thank god for the weekdays hehe

I live and work in London. a lot of people in London generally are either wrapped up in their own little bubble,rude or just plain old pig ignorant.some are a combination of all three with some more shit thrown in for good measure.I have no illusions that those attitudes do not sometimes get transferred to sites like this or anywhere else for that matter.

Having said that there are some lovely people in London and some lovely people on here. we tend to concentrate on those people. the ignorant ones? fuck 'em!

LOL x no shows , i made arrangements with a couple last sunday . drove to there house at the arranged time ,and they where not in ,told me next day that they went for a curry instaead . lol pity they had not told me , 30 minute drive ,but thankfully not a wasted journey as called in on some proper swingers , FRANKIE XX

In three years not once have I had a no show. I spend time getting to know them and always meet socially first, no pressure, relaxed.

Do all social meets end in a play meet? Of course not, but every social meet has turned up and every meet arranged on the back of that has led to play.

If I were constantly being let down I'd look at how I was selecting my meets.

its the question i always ask and no one ever answers... if you have a lot of "timewasters" then what is common denominator...

are they rushing into meets?

are they not doing due diligence?

are you getting to know people....

It is a serious question??

I can honestly count the timewasters I have had on one hand in the years I have been swinging, maybe because I don't meet until i am 110% sure.. or because if something doesn't feel right, I won't meet until it does...

I think it's easier to blame the "other fella" than it is to look to yourself. I'm not saying my way is "the" way, but it's worked for me and no timewasters.

regardless of how u select who u r going to meet u r still going to get timewasters. Some peeps arent really ready for a meet tbh - like the idea but when it comes to the final act jus cant bring themselves to do it. It has only been recently that i've had no-shows with no 'sorry cant make it' msg - 2 to be precise and one months back.

it depends on the reason for the no-show as to how you can define them....but yes, i would imagine that not being informed they are not going to show is a big bug bear.

gents, you may or may not know this, but us ladies aren't sat around looking our sexy best 24/7...effort is required and that effort requires time!

it's the waste of time getting ready that would pee me of the most...not the no-show!

No-shows are an 'occupation hazard'. I've had experiences of chatting to women for a while - finding out about them, ground rules, likes/dislikes etc., up to the night before, then when I go to meet - nothing. It's especially a pain when I have taken a day off work...

That's why I never arrange a play meet first. I think it's easy to get carried away on line for some people but when it comes down to it they bottle it.

There are times when it's difficult arranging a social meet. If two social meets are cancelled there's never a third as I feel that person is not ready and just likes the idea. They will continue to contact me but I just ignore them til they get bored.

A social meet allows you to actually see the person and judge the chemistry. Next time you meet it's not a "stranger" and the fun begins.

As I said, this works for me: successfully so far.

Tip: if someone keeps making excuses not to meet, keep cancelling etc, chances are they'll never meet you!

But let's not forget the other possibilities:

They got a better offer.

They are not who they say they are and were just pissing around.

They are not in the mood now.

They've been wanking to porn all afternoon and their cock is dead.

Their mates asked them if they wanted to go out.

Their partner changed shifts at work.... or any one of another 1000 reasons.

You can't name and shame on the forums. But there is nothing to stop you starting a new topic, lets call it "Let down again"

Inside give a brief description that you've had your time wasted again. If anyone cares to know the user name send a pm and you'll give it by private reply.

I mentioned a few years ago (when we were new to this) how one couple let us down 3 weekends in a row by not turning up when they said they would.

I was asked privately several times by pm for the username of the couple which I gave. It was amazing how many this couple had duped the same way.

Sadly that couple are still on here and probably still catching people out

I am sure lots of people tell the truth when they have been let down, but as we don't know those people then I would be thinking , who knows wether it is the truth or not.

To no shows who don't let you know.....bad.

To people who cancel because for whatever reason they can't make it or have bottled it...fine.
