Last night MissK suggested we try something new.

I was apprehensive to say the least as I'm not into new things but keen to understand what her needs might be, I listened.

Invest in a dimmer switch to keep her happy. She can turn it up gradually as you get used to the extra light and feel more comfortable. At the same time make sure you purchase a lower watt bulb. If she does disrespect your boundaries you can feel safe in the knowledge that the bulb will not have the same amount of illumination

That's some seriously kinky stuff going on in her head and sounds like she needs some help. No offense, but kindness and help are more effective than criticism and abandonment and you never know what extreme kinks that will lead to, such as increasing the frequency to twice a year and not just on your birthday or Christmas!

So, I'd suggest agreeing to her suggestions but reining it in by taking some control of the situation. Start with leaving a hallway light on downstairs but keep the bedroom in darkness, just allowing a little light from downstairs. Over the course of the next year, introduce variety by changing which room has the light on downstairs and then she will be ready for the landing light.
