I find that distance is not a problem for the right meets as I am always happy to both travel and book a hotel...certainly makes quality (which is what its all about in my book) encounters much more possible than only meeting locally..

There...

Distance is never an issue - although I'm rather pleased that diesel has dropped to under a pound per litre recently...

Distance I'd only time and miles really.. If you plan ahead anywhere is possible to get too.

London and France

If it's worth it; then distance is never an issue:

I live in SW France;

Yet often meet in London.

When I lived in London, Trains/ motorways etc took me to anywhere else in UK.

Sometimes the other half of the meet will meet halfway any way.....

I suppose if all you want is a couple of hours of " quickie" then travelling might be not worth it.

Or if you have a job/young kids/not a great deal of expendable income and probably many other reasons that make travelling further afield much more difficult. So even tho I'm sure it would be worth it distance unfortunately remains an issue for some.

For me locally based is better travelling time is wasted time, can think of better things to be doing instead of driving miles for a meet.

We tend to stick to those within a 30 mile radius, but occasionally will travel further and make a weekend of it. I think that's easier in the better weather though, so won't happen during my winter hibernation.
