For self use I'd start with something small and work your way up!

Get an anal lube as it has a relaxant!

Beads, butt plugs and slim vibrators are a good start!

I experimented with a tapered candle position at the correct height and fasted ed to a radiator with pvc tape so it was secure but could move up and down then after lubing up I backed onto thus receiving as much penetration as wanted. The rest as the say is history

KY is not a brilliant lube.. Try the silicone ones that are specifically designed for anal play (some have a muscle relaxer in them that help greatly)

You need to be as relaxed as possible. Go for the slow build up and take your time.
