We are hosting our first house party at the end of the month. Has anyone got any tips that they would like to share?

My girl I swing with and I have hosted 3 so far. The first one was a bust due to too many single guys. So we only allow couples and single girls. Our 2nd party we had 4 couples 1 single girl. Our 3rd party had 6 couples and 3 single girls. Obviously you invite who you'd like. Was just telling you our experience

We assist at a house party, they are hard work!!

as a general idea, here's a bit of a list but trust me, there's plenty of other shit you've got to do..

in no particular order:-

1 Invite plenty of couples, depending on the size of crowd, you will probably need to ask twice as many... Ours are established now so we don't even advertise... Make sure all have veri's and you feel will fit in with the others..

2 Put a bit of a spread on, no strong flavours... garlic, onion, etc

3 Don't set your standards too high... if you want skinny 20 year olds it's going to be a disaster..

4 at around 10.30pm, the ladies get changed into something sexy...

5 if the party starts at 7.30, try and get them there for that time.. You want to make friends, have a good laugh before the fun starts.. Peeps tend to leave about 2am as the men are all used up lol..

6 Set rules e.g. if there's squirters make sure they don't gush everywhere, carpets, beds... It's your home!

7 Get telephone numbers so you can ring the guests if late, etc..

8 Get them to bring some drink as a token for yourselves and also their own drink...

It will take a while to establish yourself as a host, but I'm sure you'll do a good job..

I've been to a couple and they tend to use air beds, however by the end of the night they have popped. So not sure if you want to consider play arrangements. The ones I've been to, have a mixture of all, but as I go in the chat rooms people build up a rapport and you get a general idea of how people will behave etc.

Make sure you have a few couples who will get things happening . Avoid inviting wallflowers - it can be incredibly difficult to get play started with the shy and retiring types . And those who love socialising too much can put a dampener on the fun too .
