Yes because I'm single and sometimes I only want to meet other singles.

I say they have a place here because I'm allowed to be here, because my subscription money is as good as anyone else's, because I can't see I'm hurting anyone by being here and because that's what suits me.

Yes. The site's name is not indicative of 100% of its uses.

I don't see a problem with singles meeting only singles. The result for us would be the same whether they are on the site or not. I personally don't understand why some couples have an issue with something that doesn't affect them one way or another.

Yes of course they do. Why should they not. Swinging can mean lots of different things to different people. We all play differently just as in our day to day lives we are all different.

Don't quite know why there seems to be a stream of threads on here that think certain people, groups do not belong on here. You would think swingers should be less judgmental!!

I can answer this because my profile currently says this.

The 'not looking for single guys' is added to a profile when the person uses mail filters to block messages from single men.

It actually means 'not currently accepting mail from any new men'.

It means they are looking for men but they'd rather look and message those they're interested in themselves (to save being bombarded), or they have enough people to chat to and arrange meets with for the moment, or they're away and don't want to come back to a full mailbox, or something of that nature.

They should have an option that says not accepting messages. I have not looking for single men or anything actually because I have all my filters on and it stops me appearing in search results.

In the 'looking for' selection _oxes you're a man. Unfortunately in the mail filters you're a single man!

So, if you see someone looking for men but not looking for single men, they probably are looking for men. However, that won't help you unless they've winked at you or messaged you before because you won't be able to message or wink at them. All you can do it fab their photos and hope they notice and like the look of you, or, if they're on the fora, tell them you'd like to message them but can't because of their filters. (But don't ask them to change their filters because that's ban-worthy).

Complicated eh?

I said on a thread earlier that I would rather the not looking for single men tag said something like not currently accepting messages from single men.

It's confusing to be looking for men but not looking for men.

I think that's the problem with some of the couples though, that we're not meeting couples for 3sums, we're meeting other singles instead.
