What is it at the moment with single guys texting to confirm they are coming and getting the address then NOTHING fail to turn up, and dont answer the mobile.

Still not had a message to explain (2 days)

dont really know if there is a problem, we have met many couples and especially single guys off here and other sites we cant mention shhhhh and we live in spain.

We have even had a few guys who we met in chat room who were not even coming to spain but booked a week or long weekend here just for the meet.

so maybe the problem is yours and not the guys

Because all the times we have talked and you promise to show up... Bang nothing! You have lead me up the garden path on so many occasions now! The ultimate timewasters! So I am going to report you!

I just want to say for the record the above is not true, but do you see why name and shame doesn't work... It's my word against yours!

Really no need to name and shame can you imagine how long that list would be.

Just chalk it down to experiance block them and try again. I still belive that time wasters are few and far between you were just unlucky. good luck in the future

the pit falls of naming and shaming have been discussed on numerous threads. you can search and read back on the feed back others have got when posting the same .

yes its annoying and a waste of your time thats why you can report the persons profile for not showing up to admin. that way if there a pattern of this admin can deal with the member . after reporting id just use it as a learning curve and move on .plenty more genuine folks to meet out there ! x

I have spent hundreds of pounds in flights and hotels for promised meets only to have no shows. Nothing you can do, just accept it and try again...

flights? why on earth would you go far enough to need a flight for sex? must be nuts

i never ever travel far for first meets, i would sooner meet local guys so they didnt have to travel far either, saying that if a guy is willing to travel a long way to meet me then thats upto them i would never expect them to as i wouldnt, before i tavel any distance i want to know i like the person and they will turn up, untill then i stay local

I have no problem providing hotel rooms, i dont think men should pay but again i would only book a hotel room for someone i know will show and who i will want to share it with, even if they do turn up theres no saying you will want to have sex

Theres plenty you can do about it, starting by chosing your meets more carefully

true

i have in the past booked hotel rooms and had no shows, after the second time it happened i refused to book rooms, now i tell them to book it and i will give them my share towards the costs if they show, that way not only does it mean they are more likely to turn up if they have paid for a room and if they dont show its not my card its coming off

if they not happy with that arrangment thats find just means we have to find someone else to meet

Why the fish'n'chips are single guys being singled out for this?

It's not a symptom of single guys, it's a problem of people, and people come (or more to the point - DON'T COME) in twos as well as ones. The hassle I've had with couples who say they are coming to parties and then not even bothering to apologise for their absence. And even the bare faced cheek of getting a message like "sorry we didn't come last time, what's happening next week?" Bloomin' annoying. Sadly whilst I share in the frustration, I don't have an answer.
