Oh dear - last night we were told off very firmly by Premier Inn staff - despite it being New Years Eve they said we had to abide by the hotels 'only 2 adults per room after 10pm' policy.

Have other people experienced this? It has put us off going to a Premier Inn again - we weren't being excessively noisy - just a bit chatty and giggly. M x

I experienced this once last year, after a strongly worded email explaining i was celebrating and wasnt having a rave, they apologised and i got a free night in a hotel lol

Annoying no doubt but they do have signs up everywhere so I suppose theres not much you can do about it. Just because it was nye there could still of been families, young kids, people who had to be up early for work the next day in the rooms next to yours

Cant remember the name of hotel but reception knew myself and a couple checked into a couple only booked room...they rang every 15mins asking when I would leave

..put me off my stroke a bit

Every hotel has that policy. ...

Its what stops you booking s room and sticking your 15 mates in ot for an ultra cheap night

Yes we experienced this 3 weeks ago at the Premiere Inn next door to Xstasia.

Friday night there were a few of us in the room quietly doing our own thing and was repeatedly told to get out of the room.

Saturday night just myself and my fem room mate again knocked on the door and told us to stop talking! !! Following omorning our room was checked for "room service" 4 times.

Holiday inn M6 actually called the police and we were removed from the hotel for having 4 people in a 2 person room.

Well from thier point of view is just plain theft.

You booked for 2 people to use thier service you've got 4 people instead.

You wouldn't expect a rail or bus company to be happy if you bought one ticket then brought you 3 other mates along etc.

. Good point and I am sure that the shareholders in Premier Inn would prefer that the policy was adhered to. Whitbread shares have put up a storming performance in the past five years

Whitbread as a company have a responsibility to all their guests so actually I don't think their request was unreasonable. Imagine your in a hotel for a night, you have kids, or work the next day and someone is keeping you awake all night having a party. What you think as quiet could actually be quite loud.

Disclaimer I used to work for whitbread and have had to use this policy before unfortunately

Fire breaks out. Brigade arrive and the Sub Officer asks how many people in the building.... He has to know if the head count matches or does he send his guys in to a potentially deadly situation to do a search or can they stand back and use hoses.

How does a mere fuck compare to that?

Don't know which Prem you were in...the one in West Brom near Xtasia puts members on particular floors (away from families etc) and even gives a discount for club goers as they get lots of business ..... So it's clearly not a whole company policy?

1.5 Occupancy

The maximum room occupancy is two adults. Family rooms (where available) can accommodate two adults and two children (under the age of 16). You must not exceed the maximum occupancy for the room allocated to you.

How would you know how many people are actually in the building?.

Some assumptions being made - maybe I should of explained in more detail -

we are a group of friends who go dancing regularly - nothing to do with swining so maybe I should of placed the post in the Lounge Forum -

we had all booked rooms in the same hotel so every person in our room was registered with the hotel already as a guest - we had been out to a new years eve function and when we arrived back to the hotel we wanted to continue socialising - if the bar or guests lounge had been open we would of gone there but it wasn't open.

You should try the Park Inn if you go to Xstasia, they do a discount on rooms if you ask for the Xstasia rate and they don't check up on you and seem to have a very relaxed attitude.

Every person in our hotel room was also a guest of the hotel with their own room - we wanted to socialise so went to one room - there were 9 of us - between us we had brought the hotel quite a good income that evening - if the hotel lounge had been open we would of socialised in there but it was locked

I was in Milan once for a week or so. Every night for 3 nights, this woman would scream as if she was being murdered between 2-4am, waking up almost everyone on the floor.

Management couldn't do anything about it (or were reluctant to confront her for some reason), so they put my colleague and me in another 5* hotel at their expense. It was excellent.

You book the room , so bring as many guests as you want. It's your room for the night. But yeah only 2 can get the brekky in morning.

thats how it usually works in any decent hotel. No idea about this particular chain.

Doesn't mean you can make as much noise as you want though

Last weekend I was in a hotel, we had 2 keycards for the door. We checked in and 3 days later we checked out/ So how in that time would the hotel know if, one, none or both of us was in the room? How would you know if we had guests in the room?

Even if the keys are linked to a computer are you telling me someone stays in a burning hotel to tell the fire brigade?

If there is a fire, the alarm in most large hotels is so loud it physically hurts. And like in a block of flats the fire brigade phyxically check the rooms, they don't rely on a headcount. It might woork in a bed and breakfast or a small hotel but no way it would in a travelodge or premier inn

This doesn't take into account people who may be out having a drink or may be not in their room at the time of the fire. Sorry but don't think this is a proper way of knowing who would be in the building and I don't believe the reason for only wanting two people per room is anything other than a smart business decision.

. It would depend at what time you were having your gang bang .

If it ended by 11 pm and your guests were quiet , it would probably not be noticed .

A friend and I once got called by the reception staff and asked to "turn the tv down" as it was disturbing to my neighbors. As I was putting the phone back I noticed a note under the door which read

Am in room 230 if you need a hand with her..she sounds like a right goer. Steve.

Tbh , I think your issue is more likely to be the guys for gangbang.

Most decent hotels don't GAF about how many people are In a double room- it's your room bought and paid for for the night

We stayed here on 19th Dec for the foam party. We were told to request a 7th floor room as they tend to put the Xtasia visitors there. We returned to our room @2.15am & could quite clearly hear the couple opposite having fun from the corridor

We stayed there a few months back , we were on the 7 floor , anyway we had a call from management at around 3,30 asking if we could quieten our activities . No problem in that

I don't know if it's a new feature or not, but I recently noticed that if you use their web site then Travelodge will let you book a room for the night for 3 adults....

Perhaps they are a bit more in tune with what some people may need!

In my experience providing your not destroying the place, waking up or upsetting other residents you wont be sussed out or potentially kicked out. thats not to say there's not been some almost incidents at times

I know hotels generally dont want non residents sleeping over but I wasn't aware of the 2 adults per room after 10pm policy in Prem Inns.

We were waiting for a taxi at a premier inn when the receptionist was calling the police to remove a single man from the grounds at 8pm.

She'd been up to a room to ask them to keep the noise down so the couple said he'd better leave

He said he'd left belongings in the room and waited in the car park

We were refused entry to our friends' hotel room in central Dublin. It was spontaneous thing, if we planned ahead to have fun together, we would had booked a room for ourselves too... As we all were looking forward to play we tried to book a room then and first were told it's too late, then that there is no rooms available... So we wanted at least socialise a little more before saying good bye as our friends were flying back home next day and we were told that residents bar is for residents only...

It's clear some hotels don't like open minded fun couples...

Yup I've had knocks on the door on one ot two occasions. It was due to forgetting the level of the background/drown out the mfm sex noise music being played

I've been in hotels where there's other swingers on the same floor with not clue what serious level of naughty noise their making. Some peeps forget their volume control as we all do at times but some simply have to be another level bigtime, popstar rawko. Probably more suited to a log cabin in the middle of no where than town center hotel during peak bookings lmfao

Knew about the noise policy not the 2 people policy.

I work for said company and as previously stated its due to fire regulations 2 adults per room but i know from experience people get sneaked in and we do corridor checks for saftey reasons all i would say if i cant hear you in the corridor im not gonna knock just be respectful and dont take the mick lol x

Use holiday inns. I've never had any issue with anyone coming back etc. And this is when I've been down every hour or so with a different guy or multiple guys seeing them out.

We have had three in a room all night before in a Premier Inn and Travelodge as well fun with others after 10 pm in numerous hotel chains.

Think it all depends on whether or not you get a pissy member of reception staff

Holiday inn M6 actually called the police and we were removed from the hotel for having 4 people in a 2 person room.

Well from thier point of view is just plain theft.

You booked for 2 people to use thier service you've got 4 people instead.

You wouldn't expect a rail or bus company to be happy if you bought one ticket then brought you 3 other mates along etc.

Why is a hotel different "
oh come on! Everyone needs to chill out. These rooms cost £100 a night plus! Of course if I book a double really its me and 5 mates! That's why I like travel lodge...

Just looked up their policy and it says 2 adults per room and family rooms are 2 adults 2 children up to the age of 16. They will not book rooms for 2 adults and any children over 16 as they are classed as adults.

Basically premier inn policy is no more than 2 adults per room.

Hope this helps.

Oh well so it's only two adults to a room after 10 p.m then sounds ok to me fair enough rule book in during the day simple ain't it but come on prem Inn have got to have rules to suit every one staying in their premises but me I wouldn't book into any of them
